War?

Iskall and the rest of his friends relaxed in the living room of the secret base. Iskall spoke first. "Ok we have a situation to discuss."

"Which is?" Grim asked

"Do we find another hiding spot or stay here now that everyone else knows where we are hiding? It's up to opinion, what does everyone think?"

"It would make sense to move. Just to be safe." Grian said. "I have a certain experience with wars and hiding places."

Hels looked at him and spoke confidently. "It won't matter. They could send every hermit at once and we could take them."

Grim nodded. "I agree with Hels. It would be nothing." It had seemed that in the past few hours they had become friends.

Iskall looked at the two. "I think I understand. They also seem scared of what we are capable of so they would be nervous to send people down here. Just in case we should not go wandering out far."

"So what do we do about those two?" Mumbo asked pointing to the large bags.

"First need to get them to see it from our side. We can do that by erasing and controlling aspects of their mind." Iskall said nodding to the machine he made earlier.

All of a sudden Grim was confused. "Wait. We can do that?"

Mumbo looked over and nodded eagerly. "Yeah Iskall made it when we had to fix your soul and erase your memories because you." He stopped himself quickly. "Oh dear, I've said to much."

Grim looked angry. "You erased my memories? You are so dead." He stormed over to Iskall and Hels ran in between them. "Don't worry. Come with me. I'll get you them back."

Iskall glared at Hels. "What if it breaks him again?"

"Then we'll fix him again. Don't worry." He left the room. Hels grabbed a vial full of black liquid. "This is your memories. To put them back I think all you have to do is drink it."

"Ok" Grim took the vial and downed it. His eyes glowed brightly and stopped. He looked at Hels and told him, "I have to do something." He disappeared out the door.

Xisuma walked through his front door and stood by his table. Scar has told him to get some rest but he was going to do nothing of the sort. He spread a map of the whole server over the table. He circled in red pen the location of Iskall's secret base. He tried to think of what the would do next. After a bit of thought he gave up and sat down. Perhaps he was just tired. He got settled on the couch when he heard a window smash.

He quickly turned around, expecting the worst. He saw the worst. Grim stood by the shattered remains of the window, scythe in hand. Xisuma pulled out his sword but Grim hit it out of his hands with his scythe.

"What do you want?" Xisuma snarled at the reaper.

Grim smirked. "I need a slight favour. For a friend?"

"You are not my friend anymore. You're someone different."

"Still, I used to be. Anyway, remember that spell you activated that. The one that turned us into grey skins."

Xisuma looked at him, confused. "Yeah, its off. Why are you like this."

Grim shrugged. "Don't know, don't care. No point dwelling on these things."

"What do you want me to do?" Xisuma said, clearly trying to be brave but breaking.

"I need you to turn it back on for a particular hermit. Then input a code so it can't be turned off." Grim said, leaning on his scythe.

"No. I won't."

Grim held his scythe at Xisuma's throat. "Actually you will."

The admin gulped. "What hermit?"

"Stressmonster."

"Oh that makes sense." Xisuma thought back to demise when Ren had first become Grim. He had set up a trap that killed Xisuma. It had seemed so friendly at the time. Like a prank. Later Grim joined Stress to kill Scar. It had all seemed like a game. But now, with a scythe pressed against his throat, nothing seemed like a game.

"Fine." Xisuma said, knowing that at least it wouldn't kill stress for good. He opened the screen on his wrist and wrote some code. "Done."

"Don't forget the code to make it permanent."

Xisuma winced as he typed it in. "That's it. If you do anything other than making her greyskin I will destroy you."

"Sure pal. I'll be on my way." Grim ran out the window and disappeared. Xisuma pulled out his phone to warn Stress. That was the least he could do.

Grim ran through the night. Every now and then a wolf would howl towards him, recognising him as one of them. He smiled at the thought that he wouldn't be the only one anymore. He wouldn't be lonely. Not ever again. He had spent some time with Hels but it was nothing compared to a real friendship. He figured Hels thought the same.

He arrived at a familiar base. He stood by a window and looked through. Stress was lying in a bed. She wasn't sleeping though. Her eyes were open. It seemed she was having trouble getting some sleep. Grim looked at the window and then the door, a couple of meters away. He smashed the window. It was more fun.

Stress jumped up. "Ren? Back off. I don't know what wrong with you."

"It's Grim. Also, don't worry. I'm only helping you." He drew his scythe, aimed at her neck and swung the weapon at her. He watched her blood splatter the walls. A few seconds later she got up, looked at herself then smiled in realisation. She ran and hugged Grim. He smiled and hugged her back. What was this thing he felt? It was so strange. He felt warm. They walked together, away from the crimson stained house. They talked for a while. About what they had been doing, their hatreds, their new life.

They continued talking until the reached the secret base. When they walked in no one seemed to notice. Iskall and Grian were on the couch playing Smash Bros . A very angry Mumbo was yelling at them. "We are in the middle of a war and you two are playing Smash! Iskall you're supposed to be the leader. We need to plan."

"Yeah, let's do it." Mumbo smiled at the comment. "After this game." Iskall added. Mumbo groaned.

Hels was lying down on another couch. He was the first to notice. "Hey Grim, you're back. What were you up to?"

Grim stepped in revealing Stress. That caught Iskalls attention. "Wait what? How did you do this? It should be only you."

Grim shrugged. "I threatened Xisuma into turning it back on."

"For only Stress?"

Grim nodded. Grian, completely oblivious to everything yelled. "Yes! Knock out." He looked over. "Oh hey Grim, hey Stress."

Grim ignored him. "What did you do with Etho and Cleo?"

"I put them in a induced coma. We have to run experiments." Iskall replied.

After a bit of talk, Grim and Stress curled up on a couch and played Smash. Iskall finally got to work with Mumbo and managed to drag Grian along as well. Hels sat down. He wasn't very happy. He felt sad, and alone. He had finally felt like he had a friend. Now he has lost him. Maybe he wasn't used to having no one there. He used to always have Wels. Even if he was annoying. He needed someone like him. Grim had seemed good enough but maybe there was someone else out there. Is it possible another soldier survived? He stared at the people around him in anger. Hopefully, they will be gone soon.

Honestly I wrote an entire chapter then deleted it. I came close to deleting this too. Guess I wasn't happy with it. But this one will do.
