A year went on, and Ashley was now a senior, she had to prepare for her final SATs and APs as to have the perfect grades.
She had to check the schools she'd like to go to, and start applying for them.
She had her father help her on that, since he was her number #1 supporter.
The whole last year Ashley literally locked herself in her own world, pushing everyone away, even Toby, her boyfriend, they stopped going out on dates, they rarely talked or texted and even if they ever bumped into each other at school, they smiled and chatted a bit, and then walked away.
She pushed everyone away except for Melissa, her closest friend, who helped her with everything, helped her with littlest and biggest. Melissa had pale white skin, blonde golden short hair, and grey eyes and was so into fashion.
The school year just started, and they both agreed to go over at each others' houses every day so they'd do their assignments together, manage some work, finish their projects, and finally discuss everything about their graduation and prom.
On Wednesday, Ashley and Melissa walked home to Ashley's house after school, when they saw Ashley's father standing with a middle-aged woman who they could tell was moving in, from the lots of packages and boxes she had.
"Ash I'll go grab something to eat, I'm starving. I'll wait for you in your room and get the sheets we need to be done with ready, don't be late" Melissa told Ashley before walking into the house.
Ashley was on her way to her Dad when he saw her approaching him, and he eventually started introducing her to the brunette beautiful lady he was standing with.
"This my my daughter, Ashley" he said smiling to the lady.
"Hi Ashley, how you doing?" The lady greeted Ashley. "I'm fine, thank you" Ashley faked a smile.
And then her Dad introduced the lady to Ashley, "Hey Ash, remember the annoying neighbors we had? They just moved to Mexico and instead Mrs. Gray here moved in"
She sighed as she got relieved that the lady was married. Now she didn't have to worry about her Dad liking this lady.
"Yeah, I've just moved in with my nephew, to have a fresh start" Mrs. Gray said pointing at her nephew.
What's a fresh start for?
Before Mrs. Gray would say another word, Ashley excused herself to the house saying she was tired and that she didn't want her friend to wait any longer.
Ashley went into the house, worked on her tasks with Melissa, gossiped about everything they could possibly gossip about, and watched some movies.
But they couldn't go on watching more movies so they just slept hoping they'd wake up the next day in time and get to school right away since they had a big exam the first period that they certainly couldn't miss.
But how come Ashley does not overthink?
Of course Ashley had her head thinking about nothing but the lady's last heard statement "fresh start"
