Ashley's POV
The day passed with such slow pace, I avoided eye contact with Nash, and whenever he tried to talk to me I walked away.
School finished and Leo drove me back to my house, he noticed my flushed face and my red eyes but decided to leave me and not shower me with questions right now.
We arrived in front of my house and before I could hop off, Leo held my arm to stop me and said "I don't know what happened, and if you don't want to talk about it I'm okay with that too, I just want you to know I'm here okay?" He smiled sheepishly before I nodded and smiled back and hopped off the car.
I went into the house and straight to my room to find Melissa laying on my bed..
"Ugh what's with my bed that everyone sits on nowadays.." I groaned
"I missed you bitch, be nicer maybe?" Melissa suggested
"I'm sorry Mel, I just had two awful days, and I want nothing but to crawl in bed right now, scoot over" I said pushing Melissa aside and laid next to her.
"You only have 10 minutes to rest before we get up to get ready" Mel said
"Get ready for what exactly?"
"Blake's party!!" Melissa said enthusiastically.
"Yeah well, I'm not going to that" I turned my back to her to shut her up for what I knew was coming
"What do you mean you're not going, I'm taking your 10 minutes of rest away from you, now move it we have a party to go to" Melissa insisted
"Melissa Jacobs! I am not going to Blake's party, so would you please just shut up and let me be?"
"I know what happened.." Melissa stated sadly
I stayed quite because I didn't know what to say, I talked to Melissa every night and I kept her updated, but the last thing she knows of was yesterday's events, but I still didn't tell her about my encounter with Nash today neither did I tell her about our small conservation and his sudden mood change at class earlier today..
"I bumped into Nash, and he thought I knew so he asked about your whereabouts and said he really needed to talk to you, so I pinned him to the wall and made him admit everything, so he did" Melissa said, I stayed quiet because again I didn't know what to say..
"I don't know what is happening with Nash, but I know that you shouldn't let this get to you Ash, you should go to tonight's party and have some fun, please?"
I guess Melissa had a point, I shouldn't stay home and sulk in misery, and I shouldn't bail on Leo too! He was really nice to me and I was so lucky I had a friend like him, so if he asked for a favor, I should do it happily.
"You're right Mel, we should go to this party, Leo asked me to be his date tonight, I will text him now and tell him you're tagging along too"
"That's my girl, now let's pick what you're going to wear"
2 hours Later..
Mel and I were already dressed and were putting on the final touches of mascara before my phone rang..
"Hello?"
"Hey date! Whenever you're ready, I'll be outside" Leo said
"I'm coming right away, 2 minutes tops, bye" I said before I hung up
"Ready?" I asked Melissa
"LET'S GET THIS PARTY STARTED" she wildly screamed before she hurried downstairs
We went downstairs and outside the door to find Leo standing there beside the passenger seat with his hands in pockets smiling before he said
"Well you look beautiful.."
"Thank you very much how nice of you" Melissa sarcastically replied
"Oh hi Melissa, you too look very nice tonight, let's get going girls?" Leo said shyly
"YES WE HAVE A PARTY TO GO TO WOOHOO" Melissa said again with her wild attitude
The car ride to the party was nice, we had music on and we sang along it and I almost forgot about Nash. Almost.
Leo parked and we went inside Blake's house which was very crowded, Leo snacked his arm around my waist to keep anyone from hitting me or stepping on my lovely cast.
"Want something to drink ladies?" Leo asked right when we reached the bar
"No I'm not drinking tonight, thank you though" I replied back
"I'll have a beer thank you very much" Melissa smiled at him while saying.
Leo disappeared into the crowd before Melissa leaned in and said
"Someone's drooling over you Ashbear" Melissa winked at me
"What do you mean?" I acted dumb,
"Stop acting dumb will you? Leo likes you babygurl" Melissa winked again
"Did I ever tell you how stupid you look when you wink?" I tried to change subjects
"I love how you're insulting me to change subjects, and I know you notice how he's treating you, he's a nice guy anyways, I approve" Melissa said
"What are you talking about he doesn't .." and before I could finish my sentence Leo comes bacjk with a beer in hand and water in another, he hands the beer over to Melissa before he sips on his water
"Water?" I ask
"I'm driving remember? It's okay I don't like to drink much anyways" He said and I smiled at him
"Come on let's dance" Leo grabbed my hand and slowly tugged me into the crowd
"Dance in a cast? seems like a smart idea?" I mocked
"I'll take care of you, now come on" He smiled and I swear I almost saw something in his eyes that I couldn't comprehend, could Melissa be right? Did Leo have feeling for me?
And before I knew it, Leo had his hands on my waist and his leg beside mine protecting it from being stepped on, I let myself loose and I moved my arms to lay on his shoulder, and we just swayed to the music
"That's nice" I said
"You're nice" Leo said
"What?" I asked
"What?" he asked back
And so we both laughed, I thought this was going to be awkward, and I thought the whole party was going to be lame considering my previous encounter with Nash, but I was wrong..
This party was nice. Leo was nice.
"Nickle for your thoughts?" Leo asked
"I thought this party was going to be.. " and before I could finish someone grabbed on to my arm and I turned around to see Nash..
