Ashley's POV.
It was over.
Everything I had and shared with Toby was over the second I saw him with this Claire.
I was going to miss how the whole entire school envied our relationship but nothing more. I mean, whatever I had for him lessened months ago, but I don't know if I still have any feelings for him. Maybe I don't, but I don't want to admit it. Maybe I stopped having any feelings for him a long while ago, but I never admitted. I don't know what will happen next, but I do know that whatever I had with Toby, was officially over. Hopefully all the pain and hatred I had for him now, would vanish soon.
I got back to the party, as if nothing ever happened.
I got myself drunk real bad, was swaying my body with the sweaty bodies swaying around me when Nash approached me.
"Ashley you're pretty drunk now, can I drive you home now?" Nash asked, he has been whining for an hour now to leave the party and drive me home.
"Not because you're my designated driver then you can boss me around Mr.Rude"
"Ashley come with me" Nash ordered.
I couldn't fight it since I was barely standing on my feet.
When Nash got us far from the crowd, he asked "what's wrong Ashley what happened?"
"Why would you ask me this question, does it look like I'm not okay?" I giggled.
And that's when I started vomiting my guts out.
I thought Nash would actually run away when he sees this VERY ugly part of me, but he didn't, he kept rubbing my back and holding my hair back for me. When I was done, Nash ran inside to get me water and napkins.
He was back within seconds, Damn how fast this boy is!
"Here you go Ash"
"Thank you, I think I'm sober now"
"You should be. You puked everything out, I was afraid one of your organs would come out next thing"
"Haha, how funny Nash"
"Now lets get out of here, shall we? Nash asked me.
"Yeah sure, but let me find Melissa first"
And with that Nash and I were on a mission to find Melissa.
After what seemed like hours of searching, I found her near the bar, drinking and laughing with some of our classmates.
After dragging Melissa to the car, and driving her home, we were on the way to my house.
"Ashley are you okay?"
"I don't want to go home"
"Okay then" the car suddenly stopped, changed directions and ran so fast the wheels almost got ripped.
"What are you doing?"
"Not driving you home"
"But where are we going?"
"Somewhere special"
I decided not to argue anymore, I knew dad was going to boil me alive, but I wasn't really in a mood to be alone.
After almost half an hour, the car stopped.
"Where are we?" I asked.
"Just follow me."
I followed him silently until we reached what seemed like an abandoned park, with very old wooden benches and a bridge over a small lake.
It had no life, no flowers, no fish in the lake, but it still looked good, it looked like the parks we only see in movies.
We walked to the closest bench and sat down, none of us talked for the first five minutes until he broke the silence.
"My parents are always traveling that I hardly ever see them, it's been four years now since I last saw them, we Skype everyday but still. They chose their careers over me, over my sister, and that's what hurts the most."
"You have a sister?" I was surprised to hear him say he had a sister that I didn't show any care to all the other things he said.
"Yeahh."
I stayed quiet as a sign to him to continue talking and he did.
"They never even got to meet my girlfriend."
"You have a girlfriend?!"
"Yeahh, but she is not around anymore."
"Why?"
"She is a fighter"
"Oh, you mean she joined the army"
"No!"
"Then who does she fights?"
"Cancer."
Oooooh!
Looks like Nash has secrets.
