Ashley's POV
"I kissed Leo" Melissa said
Melissa was so worried, giving that my friendship with Leo was growing stronger everyday, we were together almost everyday, and he was a little too sweet with me that everyone was convinced he liked me, but I wasn't sure if I liked him back or if I just liked the attention and the special treatment he gave me.
Sometimes you think you like the person, but what you really like is the care and love they're giving, the way they're making you feel..
And just when Melissa said those words, It all rushed to me..
I didn't like Leo, I mean I liked him, hell even loved him but only as a friend..
And as much as I tried to deny it, I was in love with someone else..
"Ashbear?? Are you not talking to me because you're mad at me?" Melissa worriedly asked me
"Mel!! No of course I'm not, you're my bestfriend!! I'm actually happy for you, now tell me all about it" I was really happy for her, I mean I noticed how Melissa was interested in Leo, but being the loyal bestfriend she was, she never made any move or even tried to tell me about it, but I knew her so well I could see through her
"So we went to the party, and were being flirty and cute, and then we got a little tipsy and so he told me how he liked you so much, but he knew you were not for each other and he didn't want to risk your friendship and that he was beginning to have interest in some other girl, and so when I asked him who was she, he kissed me.." Melissa said
"Omg so you're dating now! You and Hanna wow! I'm so happy for the both of you finally meeting some grownup decent guys, I mean Andrew isn't exactly decent but he's really lovable, and now look at you too with Leo! I'm happy for you Mel.." I hugged Melissa so tight, I was genuinely happy for her and Leo, but..
"Calm yourself down Ashash! We're definitely not dating yet.." Melissa explained
"Why!?"
"We need to take it slow you know, get to know each other more and see how it goes, step by step"
"Wow! When did you grow so wise Mel!" I was starting to tear up? What was up with me?
"Okay mom.. Are you getting your period or something?? What's wrong with you" Melissa asked
"I'm not sure, I'm just happy"
"Not buying it, spill the tea.. what's up with you?" Melissa insisted
"Okay.. Mel, I've been denying it for some time now but.. I love him"
Melissa wasn't exactly a smart so she asked "You love Leo?!"
"No you dumbass, I love Nash"
"Okay and? Everyone knows that " Mel replied without any hesitation or surprise evident on her face.
"What do you mean and?" How was she so cold about it, I just confessed my feelings towards a boy and she didn't even react..!?
"I mean you're in Love with Nash and he's in love with you and you guys insist on playing dumb but everyone knows" Mel explained.
"Nash doesn't love me?" I defended
"Okay, you're so stupid and blind right now I don't think I have the energy to argue with you, text me later yeah?" And with that Mel left..
She can be mean sometimes

Later that night..
Nash's POV
I was showering when my phone rang, and because I had a custom ringtone for Ashley, I instantly knew it was her, so I yanked the nearest towel and covered my censored body parts and ran towards my phone to answer the call before she's hang up.. But before I could reach the phone I slipped from the dripping water and fell, it hurt like hell but I managed to get up, reach the phone and answer before it went silent.
"Hello.." I tried to act cool
"Hey, why are you out of breath??!"
"I was working out" I lied because that's the coolest most logical excuse I could come with.
"Cool, anyways so come to my house at 6 tonight, I've invited the whole group, we're having a game night, don't be late" and with that Ashley hung up before I could even answer..
It was already 5:45 PM, but given that we're almost 5 minutes away from each other, I had time to change and go.
At 6:00 I was ready and already ringing the bell at Ash's house, her sister opened the door and greeted me so happily before she let me in, I walked in the living room and there was Ashley, Leo and Melissa..
"Hey! you're late!" Ashley said
I checked my watch, it was 6:01, what did she mean late?
"I'm one minute late" I retorted
"You should've been here earlier than 6:00 to help me put out the food, Leo and Mel have been here for some time now"
Of course Leo was there, he's always a first when it comes to being around Ash..
"You should've called earlier, I barely had time to change clothes" What was up with her? She was acting weird
"Would you two quit the bickering already" Melissa huffed, she was leaning into Leo's arms and I felt like I was missing on something here..
Maybe that was it? Melissa and Leo were getting flirty and it pissed off Ashley and that's why she was taking it on me!?
Hell no I wasn't going to get sucked into all of this, I was about to leave when Hanna and Andrew joined and behind them were Jake and Jessica, it felt wrong to leave and be the boomer for the night so I decided to stay for a little while longer..
