Hyejoo's POV

If there's anything in life that I legitimately hate, then It's waking up early. Especially when I'm being woken up by my VERY loud roommate.

"HYEJOO! HOW MANY TIMES CAN I BE LATE BECAUSE OF YOU! WAKE UP!"- I haven't heard Yerim yell like this in a while. Maybe I really did piss her off this time.

"Jeez Yerimie, stop yelling so much, I'm getting up"- I said as I was hazily opening my eyes. As I was partially awake, I looked at the clock and realized that it was actually late. I had to get ready quickly. I got up and looked at Yerim, who was finishing the task she couldn't complete last night because she fell asleep. I had to drag her to her bed, alone. Not the best experience.

"You know, Yerim"- I said to her as I was getting dressed-" I know you're trying to get good marks, but that doesn't mean you should be pushing yourself too hard. We both know falling asleep at your desk at 4 AM and then waking up at 7:30 is not exactly healthy"- as I was saying this she had finished her homework and was already packing her bag.

"You know, Hyejoo"- She said, looking up at me-" it might not be healthy, but at least I'm not gaming all night and then going to sleep god knows when". This kind of pissed me off, so I leaned down and flicked her forehead.

"Ow! what was that for?"- she exclaimed, visibly irritated.

"For always being right, I guess"- I said and then we both laughed out loud. Yerim might annoy me, but I really wouldn't want our friendship to be any other way than it is now.

After I finally got dressed, we went to our class and surprisingly managed to not be late, much to Yerim's relief. As we entered, we saw Yeojin sitting at her table, looking a little nervous. This, of course, caused a reaction from Yerim.

"Hey Yeojin, are you alright? you look so tense"- as she said this she sounded honestly concerned. Yerim has a pretty big heart and is always willing to help everyone but, when it came to Yeojin, things were different. It's not surprising, honestly, since she's always had a crush on her. Sometimes I wonder why she can't take the important step and confess. I know it could potentially ruin their friendship, but I'm sure that she suffers a lot internally from hiding her feelings for so long. As I was in my thoughts, Yeojin started explaining her situation:

"Well, I think I'm totally screwed. I forgot to do my assignment yesterday. The professor is going to kill me. God, how does this keep happening to me?!"

"Well, maybe it's because you have the attention span of a cockroach"- I replied and received a punch on my shoulder from Yerim- "What? am I wrong?"- I asked.

"She might have trouble with her studies but that doesn't mean that you can say mean things like that, Hyejoo!"- Yerim said.

"I'm not being mean, Yerimie, just honest. But back to the subject, I honestly have zero clues about what you're going to do now, Yeojin. It was a pretty big assignment and class starts in, like, ten minutes".

"Ugh. You're right, Hye. I'm literally hopeless. Well, I guess I'm gonna have to get ready for a scolding session from the professor"- Said Yeojin.

The next few minutes were occupied by Yerim trying to come up with a solution for Yeojin, which was clearly impossible, but she was still trying her best. As I said, when it comes to Yeojin, things are different for Yerimie. At last, the professor entered the class and we all took our seats. As expected, Yeojin got scolded by him, but everything took a turn that was unexpected.

"Miss Im, you have multiple missing assignments, which is unacceptable. You're clearly having issues with keeping up with your studies, so I suggest you seek help from a tutor. Ask around for students who are willing to help you out. Otherwise, you're bound to fail this class and I don't think that's the desirable outcome".
