I woke up the next morning with a headache. Yesterday was a little too much to handle at once. I turned over to realize that Yerim had already gotten up and wasn't even in the room anymore. I was surprised by the amount of energy she has because there was no way I could imagine me waking up early and then immediately going out, without forgetting to make my bed. This inspired me to do something, so I got up and went to brush my teeth. As I was doing so, a lot of thoughts went through my mind, most of those being occupied by what happened with Sooyoung and Jiwoo and also by what went down between me and Chaewon.
It had been hours since our kiss, but the information still hadn't properly set in. I kept thinking that it was a dream that I somehow confused with reality and that none of it was possible, but, just as I was thinking this, I heard my phone ringing. I got out of the bathroom and picked up without looking at the caller's name:
"Hello?"
"Jeez, why so official? you could have at least said good morning. Or are you planning on ghosting me?"- Chaewon. She was actually calling me. None of it was a dream. Her sarcastic tone made me laugh.
"No, Chae, I'm not planning on ghosting you. I just didn't look at the caller ID. Good morning".
"Good morning to you, too. I don't know if you remember, but you said yesterday that we could go out today. I'm calling to tell you that I want to drag you out of your dorm and go somewhere".
"That said somewhere being?"
"I don't know that yet, but we can find out when we're out. What do you say?"
"Sure thing, your highness, just give me a few minutes to get dressed".
"Well, that's too bad, because I'm already at your door"- she said this, and I heard a knock at the door. I opened it and saw Chaewon standing at my doorstep, looking especially tiny because she was wearing an oversized sweater. She looked adorable.
"Well hello there. Come on in"- she didn't say a word and just walked into the room, sitting down on Yerim's bed.
"Well, I can tell which side belongs to whom. You and Yerim are the living definition of polar opposites".
"You should look at the color difference of our clothes. It's even more drastic"- As I said this, she chuckled and then said to me:
"Those are cute PJs, by the way"- I realized only now that I was wearing pajamas with small wolves drawn on them. I'm pretty sure the design could be seen as childish-"It's funny to see you not looking like your everyday emo self at least once, you know. Right now you actually have the vibe of a young college student".
"I can't tell if it's a good thing or not, Chae"
"It's a very good thing, actually, I feel like I'm getting to know you more. It feels nice"- she said this and smiled, which made my cheeks heat up a bit. I'm pretty sure I was blushing, so I turned around.
"I'm going to have to take these off now, so don't take peaks. Look away".
"Jeez, it's not like I'm going to see anything I don't have... but, fine, I promise I'm not looking".
She said this and turned around. I was about to take off the pajamas when I took one more peek behind me and saw that she actually wasn't turning around. I got dressed as quickly as possible, putting on the usual dark colors I always wear: "alright, you can turn around now. I'm done"- I said this and got up. Chaewon turned around, looked at me for a bit, and then said with a pout:
"Here we go again. Cute Hyejoo is back to being Emo-Joo".
"Emo-Joo?"- I said this and chuckled.
