Chapter 27

Earth, 2016

"Liv? Are you here yet?" Peter asks.

I laugh and answer:

"Yeah, I even got here before you."

He rolls his eyes:

"Well, I can't know that when you're invisible. Come on, no one can see us at the top of this building," he adds.

He's right, so I make myself visible, and he takes off his mask.

"Why do you look so serious? We've been having a good night," I ask him, seeing him frown.

"I don't look serious," he replies.

"Well, why do you look so stressed out, then? Is it Tony again?"

He shakes his head:

"No, it's just, I've made a mistake in the past, and I'm trying to fix it."

"What was your mistake?" I question, tilting my head.

He pauses for a moment before replying, looking into my eyes:

"Hurting you."

I smile gently:

"Don't worry, that's all in the past. I'm not holding this against you, I hurt you too. And I'm really glad we're friends again."

"That's not what I meant. I'm sorry, I should've said breaking up with you. That's my mistake."

I look up at it:

"Oh, well that can easily be fixed."

He smiles, blushing, before crashing his lips onto mine. We slowly pull away, and he says, smiling:

"By the way, I never thanked you for the whole 'Flash/trash" thing. That was hilarious."

"I know, I was really proud of it," I laugh.

The rest of the evening goes by quickly, and when I go back to the Avengers Facility, it's with a big smile on my face.

"Someone's in a good mood," Rhodey says, as soon as he sees me.

"Yeah, and even you can't bring me down!" I reply, skipping back to my room.

The next morning, I wake up in a great mood, because I'm dating Peter again, and it's Saturday, so we can spend the entire day together. I get ready quickly and go get breakfast. Peter and I have made plans to go to an arcade, and we're meeting there pretty soon. I take my time to eat and to get dressed, before teleporting near the arcade. I jump into Peter's arms as soon as I see him, kissing him on the cheek.

"Good morning, love!" he greets me.

"Good morning my favourite mortal!"

He laughs:

"What did you just call me?"

"What? Now that you know that I'm Asgardian, I can give you primitive nicknames!"

He rolls his eyes, smirking.

"Speaking of Asgard, am I ever going to visit? That would be so cool!"

As we are still in the streets, I take him to a quiet alley before yelling:

"Heimdall, open the Bifrost!"
