Part XI - Avengers: Infinity War

Earth, 2018

I don't know what happened to my father and Uncle Thor, but it's been a while since Thor left, saying he would come back. He never did. I still go check up on Bucky every week and move Uncle Steve and the others around as well. They have now been in hiding for almost two years and it's starting to be hard on them. I don't see Wong and Doctor S. as often as I used to because they are busy and I don't need that much training anymore, therefore I spend most of my time with Peter at his place.

"What's up with your eyes?" he asks me, looking worried.

"I don't know, what's up with them?" I reply, getting up to go to a mirror.

"They're becoming yellow," he says.

I see that Peter is right, my eyes are changing color. I blink, but once I open my eyes again, I don't see Peter's room anymore. I now see a dark room with my father, my Uncle Thor, and Heimdall.

"What am I doing here?" I ask, confused.

Only Heimdall turns to me:

"I am making you see what happened to Asgard. Your father felt like you deserved to know, and so did Thor. He is now our King."

"What happened to Asgard?" I question.

"Your aunt, Hela, the Goddess of Death, claimed herself to be Queen of Asgard. To stop her, we had to fulfill the Ragnarok prophecy, and it destroyed Asgard. We had to evacuate the people, and we are on the Statesman, on our way to Midgard. We will come get you when we get there, it should be in a couple of days."

"Thanks for making me see," I simply reply, nodding.

When I blink, I'm now back in Peter's room.

"What happened? You looked in a trance," he asks worriedly.

I walk to him, sit next to him on his bed, sight loudly, and blurt:

"Asgard's been destroyed by Surtur, his crown was put in the Eternal Flame in order to fulfill Ragnarok, which was the only way to destroy Hela, my aunt, the Goddess of Death, who I didn't even know about. Now everyone is in a spaceship coming down on Midgard."

He looks at me, confused:

"Sometimes I think you forget I don't know about Asgardian legends and prophecies. What's Ranargok?"

I laugh:

"Ragnarok. It's a prophecy about the destruction of Asgard and the extinction of its people. After Hela took control of Asgard, the only way to stop her was to cause Ragnarok. To do so, the Crown of Surtur was put in the Eternal Flame, which revives the dead, to unleash the Fire Demon Surtur on Asgard. This fulfilled the prophecy, causing Ragnarok, destroying Asgard and Hela with it," I pause before adding, "and Midgard is Earth."

"Yeah, that part I knew," he replies, laughing, "but I'm sorry about Asgard being destroyed."

"That's okay, I wasn't planning on going back there anytime soon. Plus, this is going to force my uncle and father to come live on Earth with me."
