Chapter 2: Training?

"You two used to be the dream team during your training. What happened?" "He-" I stop myself and take a breath. "I what Marinette?" "Whatever it's nothing important." I say. "I just can't work with him."

Adrien responds with an eye roll and turns back toward Tikki and Plagg. "She's impossible. I won't be able to work with her even if I wanted to."

"I guess it's fine. You two probably wouldn't be able to handle this case anyways. It is the biggest case we've ever recieved. We'll just give it to the next best agents." "Yeah you're right Plagg. Alya and Nino would make an amazing team."

"Come on Mari. Don't mess this up for me." Adrien whispers and I roll my eyes. "It's Marinette to you. Only my friends call me Mari." "I was the one who first started calling you Mari remember?" "And now you're the only one who can't say it."

"Whatever Mari just get off your high horse and accept the job." "Oh my gosh shut up! They're just bluffing. They won't really give the most important case to the Alya and Nino. You heard them. We're the best. They need us more than we need that case."

"This isn't a risk I'm willing to take. You know this would be good for both our careers." I roll my eyes. "Fine! If I absolutely have to then I'll work with him. But I better get paid good." Tikki giggles and nods. "Only the best for our best."

"So when do we get started?" Adrien asks. "Right after your training." "Training? We've already been trained." "We need to make sure you guys still make a great team." "What kind of training?"

Tikki and Plagg lead us to a dark room filled with neon lights. "Laser tag? Our training is laser tag?" Adrien asks as Plagg hands us a vest and the guns. "Yep."

"Don't get me wrong, shooting Adrien will be fun and all, but I don't see how it'll show our team working skills." "You won't be shooting each other." Tikki says.

"Okay now I'm confused." "Tikki and I will be on one team while you and Adrien are on the other. You need to work together to beat us."

"Okay how is that even fair? You two are literally the heads of the FBI." "Aw is Rapunzel scared of a little challenge?" "No Im not. And Rapunzel? Seriously? You really couldn't come up with something that actually suits me?"

"Pale skin, green eyes, and blonde hair... I think that nickname suits you perfectly." "She's hot so it doesn't really bug me princess." I give him a fake smile and curtsy before shooting him with the laser gun.

"Marinette! We literally just told you not to shoot each other!" "I had to! He's being annoying." "You're just jealous because I find her hot and not you!" "Me? Jealous? Of a cartoon character? Are you kidding me?"

"You totally are jealous!" "I'm this close to shooting you again!" I shout as I aim the laser gun back at the target on his chest.

"Okay that's enough." "Put the weapon down Marinette." Tikki and Plagg say. I sigh and put the weapon back to my side. "You got lucky this time Agreste." "I'm so scared." He says and I roll my eyes.

"Can we get through 5 minutes without you two arguing?" "No promises." Adrien says. "Let's just get started. You and Marinette will be on that side and Tikki and I will be on this side." We nod and walk to our sides.

"10 minute truce?" Adrien asks as he holds his hand out for me to shake. I take a look at his hand and then back up at him. "Not a chance Blondie." I say as I move away from him.

An alarm goes off and we rush to shoot at Tikki and Plagg. As much as I hate it... we surprisingly still make a good team. Well... we would've been if Adrien had just payed attention!

~Adrien~
"Marinette! Duck!" I shout as Tikki points the gun to her. Marinette ducks and I shoot at Tikki. She gets back up and dusts herself off. "What? No thank you for saving me?" "Adrien! My hero!" She says sarcastically before running off to find Plagg.

I slightly smile and roll my eyes. "Blushing already agent?" Tikki teases. "Blushing? For her? No way. I don't blush." "Everyone blushes Adrien." "Not me and definitely not for her." I say. She smiles and nods. "You'll realize soon enough." She says and runs away.

"What's that supposed to mean?" I shout after her. "Tikki what the hell does that mean?!" I start to run after her but I get tackled to the ground.

"Mari what the hell!" "You idiot! Plagg was gonna shoot you. Instead of being so held up in whatever conversation you were having you should actually do your job. Next time I won't bother saving you." She says as she gets off of me.

"Look I don't want to have to redo this training either, but you don't have to be a bitch about it." "Bitch? I literally just saved your ass!" "Consider us even." I say annoyed.

"Consider you both failures." Plagg says causing us to turn around confused. "What do you mean we failed? We literally shot you so many times!" Marinette argues.

"You're going to have many people fighting you at the same time and we were playing as all those people. There's only 2 of you, so you only get 1 chance each. Well you guys were busy arguing, Plagg and I used that leverage to get a shot on you."

"God if you would just stop arguing for 10 seconds you would've passed this training!" Plagg shouts as him and Tikki walk away.

"If you would've agreed to my truce this wouldn't have happened." "If you weren't too busy talking to Tikki then this wouldn't have happened."

"Jealous princess?" I tease. "You wish!" She says and walks away. I smirk as I watch her leave, knowing I got to her.

A/N: Y'all I didn't think writing an enemies to lovers story would be this hard! I have to make sure the storyline is good, the arguing isn't weird, i have to know the perfect time to throw a casual flirt in there, and to top it all off I need to make sure the reason they hate each other is valid!

I can't have her hating him because he spilled coffee on her or something. Not that I would do that anyways lmaoo

Anyways my updates on stories will be slower now since school started! I'm only allowing myself to go on this app on the weekends so I won't get distracted. Hope y'all understand❤️❤️
