I've been avoiding Adrien like the plague. It's been a little over a week since we kissed. I haven't seen him since. I've been doing a good job at avoiding him lately. This should be my new career. So far I'm 2/2 after the last time he tried to kiss me.
Except this time when he tried to, I let him. I can't believe I actually let him. What was I thinking? Why the hell would I do that?
I have my head in my hands when Alya sits at her desk. "Hangover?" She asks with a smile. "No. I'm just tired." I fidget with my earring and she nods. "Maybe your boyfriend will bring you a coffee again today."
"My what?" She laughs. "I'm just teasing you. What's up with you though?" "It's just been a long week." "Girl. It's barely Tuesday. The week is just beginning." I sigh and stand up. "I'm going to go get some coffee. Want anything?" She shakes her head.
"I'm fine. And I think you are too." "What do you mean?" She points to the entrance and Adrien is walking in with two cups. "Told you your boyfriend will bring it to you." Shit.
"I have to use the restroom. You did not see me okay!" I say and quickly run out. "Mari!"
~Adrien~
I reach her desk and watch as she runs away. I take a sip of my coffee and smile. "What's up with you guys?" Alya asks. "Hm? What? N- nothings up. Why did she tell you something was up?"
She raises her eyebrow. "What's there to tell?" "I- I don't know. You tell me." "Adrien." "I- I-" "You?" "I have to pee!" I place the coffees down on the desk and run.
I run into the first empty room I see. I close the door behind me. I hear a quiet scream and I jump. When I turn around I see Marinette holding onto a mop. I laugh at the sight.
"What the hell are you doing?" "You scared me!" She says as she puts the mop down. "What are you doing in here?" "I can ask you the same thing." She counters.
I look her up and down. "I asked first." She gestures to the mop. "Obviously I was looking for cleaning supplies." She sounds like she's trying to convince herself.
She laughs. It's a beautiful laugh. My favorite laugh. "What's your excuse?" "I ran from Alya." "Why?" "Cause she asked me what's going on between us. I didn't know if you told her or not." She shrugs. "There's nothing to tell."
"Oh come on Mari don't give me that." "What?" "You've been avoiding me." "No I haven't." I nod. "Yes you have. You've been avoiding me since we kissed."
"I have no idea what you're talking about." "You don't?" She shakes her head. I smirk and step closer to her.
"So you don't remember the way my hands felt on your waist?" I take a step closer to her and she takes one back. "N- no." "You don't remember running your hands through my hair?" I repeat and she does the same. "I- I don't remember."
Like a dance. I step foward and she steps back. She backs up until she can't anymore. "You don't remember how good it felt to have your lips on mine? How perfect they fit together?" She swallows and shakes her head.
She refuses to let her eyes meet mine. Her gaze is focused on my chest and she's determined to keep it there. I on the other hand, I have other plans.
I take the last step. I'm as close as I can be to her right now. A strand of hair falls in her face and I lift my hand to brush it out. I tuck it behind her ear and let my hand stay on her face.
I tilt her head up to me. Her eyes finally meet mine. Her shiny, bright, beautiful, blue eyes. "Want me to remind you?" She stares up at me. Her eyes are wide. Her mouth is slightly. "Damn it." She whispers.
Her hands wrap around the back of my neck and pull me down to her. My hands slide down to her thighs. "Jump." I say against her lips. She jumps and I use that to lift her up.
