Master, we're no longer safe!” one of the vampires said.

“We're fearing for our lives!” The other one said followed by almost everyone. Yamkelwe didn't even know what you say. The plan was to keep this Pandora's thing a secret.

“Shut up!” He roared and it became silent instantly.

“Who gave you the authority to talk? To talk to me like this for that matter”  He asks the first vampire who didn't answer.

“And you?” He asked the second one who didn't answer too.

“You two spoke when you weren't supposed to, now I'm giving you the chance, you keep quiet” He said fiercely before shifting his eyes to the whole coterie.

“Who is your master? Is it me or these two?”

Silence

“You folks surprise me sometimes. Many of you ran away from your previous coteries and came here, because your masters didn't treat you well, because some of you were slaves. I had to go through so much just  making your previous masters let go of you and break the bond so that you can bond with me” He said…

“Some of you were pathetic humans who were left to die, some of you were already dead. And who saved you?” he continued.

“Some of you were born here. I gave you strict rules so that we can all live in peace!

Now I'm giving you a chance to speak out whatever you want to say, if you want to complain, simply complain, if you want to leave this coterie, I will gladly break the bond and set you free. Now talk!”

“I just want my ability to compel,” the little vampire said.

“Hmm, so Enhle… You want me to let you manipulate others? Would you like it if anyone invaded your privacy?”

Enhle shook her head no

“Your request is declined. You don't want your privacy invaded but you want to invade others? It doesn't make sense. I'm your leader. I'm able to read compel and read your minds but… I Don't. I don't invade your privacy, I don't use any of my abilities to you. Don't you think it's fair?”

“But it could help us when we are in danger,” Enhle said.

Yamkelwe smiled “Let me tell you something little one. I never took anyone's abilities. Did I?” he asks looking at everyone. They said no.

“You can't compel because you don't have the ability to, simple as that. Now can I have serious enquiries?

Everyone knew that Yamkelwe never took their abilities. It's just that everyone was forbidden to use compulsion. If you are caught compelling you will have to face punishment as you'd committed a crime
