Hope Remains

After Pandora's voice had disappeared, Bongeka's mind came back to reality... She wasn't stuck underground, people haven't died yet. The cottages were demolished, witches were running up and down to where it was safe as the ground cracked open.
Yamkelwe could make it to the coterie basement in time with his supernatural speed, but he wasn't going to run away like a coward and leave his girlfriend to die.

He inspected the parts of the ground that were still in place, he jumped and jumped carefully until he reached up to Bongeka who was still crying blood.

"There's good and evil inside me, Pandora's is the combination of good and bad. Right now the evil is overtaking. She was in my mind, she wants all of us to die, she will only spare humans. I have to do something Yamkelwe, I can't just let —"  She rambled in frustration.

" Let's just go to my place, we'll make it if we hurry and be safe" Yamkelwe suggested, as much as she understood Bongeka's eagerness for peace but they had to look out for their lives first.

" We can't just leave, witches and werewolves will die, I have to save them. It's my fault we are in this situation anyway"

"Damn it, sweets! you cannot save the whole world! You need to look after your own, our vampires are safe!"

"Yes, they are safe. But I'm also a werewolf remember? Those creatures are my own too, just like vampires. You see these witches... I possess their power. I owe them my life!"  Bongeka barely finished her speech, the ground slightly opened, Bongeka almost fell but Yamkelwe was fast enough to catch and move to another almost safe spot.

"I can do this, yes. I can do this. Yamkelwe you need to go. I promise I will be safe"

"I'd be damned before I leave you here!"

"Fine, help me find Gloria"

After some hardships, they finally got to the witches, when they spotted her, they ran away from her. She became frustrated...
"There's too much chaos here, where will I find her?"

"I'm sure you can smell her scent, if your magic is linked you can trace her"

"Hey, look out!" Bongeka warned and Yamkelwe ducked the stone that almost hit him.
Bongeka kept on looking through the chaos until they decided to go towards her cottage, they found her trapped under the fallen walls. They helped her out. She was barely conscious.

"Gloria, wake up. You need to stop all of this before we die"  Bongeka shook her.

"I...I have no mag—"

"Channel me, you don't need a spellbook, you are a witch by nature. You can do this please hurry"

They helped her sit up and held hands. She was weak and could die anytime but she wasn't going to give up and die, maybe working with Pandora was the only way to fix the mistake of greed that she made.

She enhanced her concentration and started to speak to nature, talking to the great spirit of them all —Earth " GRANT US THE CHANCE OF FIXING OUR WRONGS, SPARE YOUR PEOPLE'S LIVES AND CLOSE THE DEEP HOLES THAT WANT TO SWALLOW YOUR PEOPLE. BRING BACK YOUR BEAUTIFUL SOIL, FLOWERS, GRASS, AND TREES. COME BACK TO US..."

Yamkelwe was getting restless, things were becoming worse than better, the ground was opening wilder and wilder with each passing second. If Gloria took long, they wouldn't survive. And if the Earth was planning on swallowing people, not even the basement will save his Vampires.

Bongeka noticed Yamkelwe’s uncertainty, she gave her a reprimanding look, if Gloria loses concentration, she'd lose connection to nature and they will be doomed.
