Chapter 17
Author's POV
"How's your back?" Forest asks thorn once more.
"It's fine," Thorn stated while trying to fix the pillows on his back.
"You should rest more before the therapy," Ilang beses na iyang sinabi ni forest pero patuloy lang ang lalaki sa paggalaw. Even though the doctor already stated that he should not force himself to move everytime.
It's been 2 weeks since the day he woke up and he's been on a great progress since then. He's not yet fully healed pero mas maganda na ang pakiramdam niya ngayon kesa noong mga unang araw na nagising siya.
Those days was the most difficult moments of his life. He can't talk, move or eat. Palagi din siyang nakakaramdam ng kirot sa buong katawan niya specially sa likod because the doctor already said that he has some broken bones there.
Everything was all his fault and he would not regret any of it. The mission was successfully done and he was just thankful that he managed to survive and live again. Now, he knows that something big will change.
He will be able to see americ again, he's guilty that he let the woman on herself for two months now but he will still choose this path over and over again, because he did this not only for himself but for the future of americ and their child.
"Don't be so worried man, hindi naman ako tatalon diyan sa building." Pagbibiro niya dito but forest remain serious and silent. He knows na medyo masama pa ang loob nito sa kanya dahil sa pagtanggap niya ng trabaho ng hindi muna ito kinokunsulta.
"Don't be such a pussy forest, I'm still alive pero 'yang mukha mo parang binuburol na ako sa sobrang sama." Pagdugtong niya.
"Adler will visit you here later," Naisagot na lamang nito.
"Madami na pala akong utang sa inyong dalawa," Napangisi si forest sa sinabi nito.
"Just tell me what happened to you at bayad ka na sa lahat." Pangungumbinsi nito na inilingan lamang ni thorn. He can't let them be involve in this situation.
"I can't." Pag-iling nito. They both know the consequence of telling someone the information that should be kept confidential. Thorn accepted the mission by himself and he should kept it to himself forever.
Napailing na lang si Forest dito. If he really insist in keeping it a secret then he can't do anything about it. He will respect the man's decision.
Parehong napalingon ang kanilang ulo sa pinto ng bumukas iyon. Napakunot ang noo ni forest ng makitang ang kanang kamay ng don ang pumasok.
What's the consigliere doing here? Seryosong naitanong ni forest sa sarili. Then he looked at thorn who now have this emotionless expression on his face.
"Sorry to interrupt the two of you but the Don wants to talk to Mr. Casper." Seryosong ani nito. Forest looked back at thorn who is now signalling him to come out for now.
Napakunot ang noo ni forest ng makitang walang katao-tao sa hallway. Maliban sa mga nakaitim na tauhan ng mafia. In the middle is the most intimidating person he have ever met. Unang tingin palang ay masasabi mo ng ito ang Don.
But he is quite younger than what forest expected.
"He's inside sire," Atlas stated. Mr. Lucchese started to walk into the room and the guard instantly blocked the door.
