Rekindling of an old flame (Snape x Reader)

CHAPTER 9

TW: Lockhart smut

You awoke two days later feeling a tad bit better now that you finally told someone how you felt.

Sitting up straight you check the time to see its one in the afternoon. You stretch feeling your whole-body crack you lay there a few minutes before getting up to use the bathroom.

You take a warm shower deciding to stay away from baths for a while, you wash your hair and body thoroughly. After your done you step out and dry yourself off before stepping out of your bathroom in a rob the cold hits you making you scramble for your closet.

You open up your drawer and pull-out sweats and a sweatshirt, quickly pulling off your robe and putting on a clean pair of panties and your sweats, you put on your sweater and socks and go downstairs.

You stop in the doorway of the dining room to Remus setting the table.

"I thought I heard you" he says with a smile "sit I've made lunch" you walk over and sit down

"what's today?" you ask "its Wednesday" "really?!" you say eyes wide, Remus laughs and shakes his head "you let me sleep for two days" "you looked like you needed it and when I tried to wake you, you wouldn't" he says plating your food "oh, well I did need it I feel much better" you say as he sits down.

The both of you eat talking about random things, once you finished eating you waved your wand, and the plates began floating to the sink and washing themselves.

Both of continued to talk at your table about the recent weeks you've been away from each other

"so, how's aurora?" he asks "oh she's doing just fine, she's very happy being at Hogwarts with me, she's made quite a few friends and met severus" you say taking a sip of tea "she has! How was it" he says wide eyed "well they were both very nervous, but they got comfortable with each other quickly now there close I guess" you sigh, Remus watched as your smile faded "what's wrong?" "well he said his main focus is getting to know her and that him and I needed to distance ourselves from one another, so aurora won't think he's only doing it for me" you say looking at the tea in your hand "do you still have feelings for him?" Remus asked "I don't know I think so" you say with a sigh "well that's something you need to figure out y/n" "and if I do ill have to suppress it in order for whatever is going on to work I cant let my feelings get the best of me again" you say getting up and walking over to the sink.

You and Remus continue to talk through out the night, you bid him goodnight before going to bed.

Remus insists on staying with you just to make sure you're safe which you don't mind.

His company makes you feel less alone, and the conversing helps.

The next morning you got dressed and ate breakfast with Remus.

After the both of you ate you, each headed out and went your separate ways you made your way to the ministry and met with the minister and others to discuss the chamber of secrets.

After an hour or two of talking you take your leave when walking out you bump in to a man with a walking stick and long blonde hair, "my apologies sir, excuse me" you say quickly walking away.

Lucius stood there confused he could've sworn he had seen you before, but he couldn't quite remember where, he watched as you walked down the hall and disappear around the corner.

As you were walking down the street you ran in to gilderoy, he approached you with a small smile, which you returned. "Lockhart" you say as you take his extended hand and shake "y/ln, its nice to see you where have you been?" he asks as the both of you continue walking "I was needed at the ministry" you say "oh the ministry? Seems important" he says with furrowed brows "not quite important just rumors for now but I do need to keep a close eye on it" you say "how about a drink and we can continue this conversation somewhere warm" he says pointing to a pub across the street, you feel a small droplet of ran hit your cheek you look at him and nod, hurrying across the street as the rain starts to get heavier.
