Rekindling of an old flame (Snape x Reader)

CHAPTER 12

You woke up the next morning around 6.
You got up and went to use the bathroom, seeing as it was still early you didn't bother to wake aurora up.
After you finished you went in to the kitchen completely forgetting Severus on the couch.
You went over and put on some coffee before going back in to your bathroom for a shower.
After washing your hair and every part of your body you stepped out wrapping a towel over yourself.
Checking the time it was now 7:30.
Going in to your closet you pulled your undergarments on and put your robe over yourself before going back in to the kitchen.
You pour yourself a cup of coffee and turn towards your sitting room taking a sip to see Severus still asleep, walking over to him you stare awhile.
Looking at how peaceful he is when he sleeps.
After a couple minutes you shake him awake.
He jerks awake sitting up quickly.
"I'm sorry I didn't mean to f-"
"It's fine, but you need to go get ready class starts soon" you say going back in to your room.
"Aurora dear wake up, if you want to see your friends for breakfast you gotta get up now"
You say walking over to her checking her knee and removing the bandages from her nose.
She was perfect no swelling or bleeding.

After you were both dressed and ready you walked down to the great hall for breakfast.
She sat down by draco and the rest of them.
Sitting down you poured another cup of coffee not feeling hungry, awhile later gilderoy entered sitting next to you then Severus.
Feeling them side eye you waiting for you to start conversation you looked at your watch.
"Looks like class will be starting soon, excuse me" you say standing and leaving quickly.
Sitting in your classroom you waited for your students to come in and get seated.

"Okay so I've been gone for a couple days and I've now graded your essays from last week, most of you were on track with what was taught." You say
"Now let's get on with today's lesson."
After all of your classes we're done you checked the time to see it was time for Lockhart's dueling class.
Going to the great hall you saw students standing around a long platform.

You stood to the side waiting for Lockhart.
He walked in looking as cocky as ever shooting you a wink before walking up on to the platform.
"Gather around! Gather around, can everybody see me can everybody hear me? Excellent"
"In light of dark events of recent weeks, professor dumbledore has granted me permission to start this little dueling club to train you all up, incase you ever need to defend yourself." He spoke
"As I have done on countless occasions for full details see my published works" he said throwing his cape in to the crowd of young girls drooling over him.
"Let me introduce my assistant, professor snape!"
Severus glided up the steps elegantly.
"He has sportingly agreed to help me with a short demonstration, but I don't want you youngsters to worry you'll still have your potions master when I'm through with him, never fear" he said shooting you another wink making you roll your eyes.

They walked to the center of the stage and drew their wands before bowing their heads before going the opposite direction and taking their stance.
"One, two, three" as soon as he said three Severus shouted out the disarming spell.
Sending Lockhart several feet back causing the students to gasp and laugh out.
"An excellent idea to show them that professor snape but if you don't mind me saying it was pretty obvious what you were about to do, and if I had wanted to stop you it would've been only too easy"
"Perhaps it would be prudent to first teach the student to block unfriendly spells professor"
"An excellent suggestion professor snape uh" he looked around and pointed at you.
"Professor y/ln will you join us please" he spoke
You walked on to the platform and he pulled you towards him, "I need you to take my place" he said quietly "my back is killing me" he said
"Of course professor" you said as he walked away
"Okay so professor Snape will cast a spell my way and I will deflect it" you say with a smile
Taking your stance across the platform you have waited for Severus to cast his spell.
"Petrifiucus totalus!" He shouted
You casted a shield charm and it bounced off.
Turning back to the students you spoke.
"As you can see I used a shielding charm to block the spell, that charm being protego. Protego can block most spells, hexes, minor curses and jinxes. However it cannot block unforgivable curses, but it can be somewhat difficult to cast" you say
"How about a volunteer pair" Lockhart shouted from where he was sat.
"Okay um Potter Weasley what about you two" you looked at the two boys with a smile
"Weasleys wand causes devastation with the simplest spells, he'll be sending Potter to the hospital wing in a match box." You saw the little red headed boys expression change to a sad one making you frown.
"Might I suggest someone from my own house, Malfoy perhaps?" He said turning dramatically to Malfoy telling him to get on the platform.
Sighing you went to Potter and wished him luck.
Watching the two boys approach each other you already knew this would end terribly.
