Rekindling of an old flame (Snape x Reader)

CHAPTER 17

After dinner you sent aurora off to bed and put the dishes in the sink casting a spell to wash themselves.
Going back in to the living room you saw sleepy men trying there best to stay up and keep talking.
"Okay it is way to late to be traveling, so guest bedrooms" you said ushering then off the couch.
Remus went in to his regular guest room while Severus stood awkwardly waiting.
"Right, follow me" you said going up the stairs.
Going down one hall you pointed at a room.
"So this is your room" you said opening the door.
"Bathroom is down the hall" you said before walking towards your room. Shutting the door behind you, you went in to the closet and changed in to a night gown. Walking over to your bed you hesitantly climbed in and covered yourself with the duvet.
Trying to sleep but continuing to toss and turn.
Every time you closed your eyes you saw him on top of you, heard his grunts and your moans bouncing off the walls of your room. You felt the bed shaking as it did the night you allowed him on top of you.
Throwing the covers off you sat up, still hearing and feeling everything you threw the lamp on your bedside table off making it shatter, this pulling you out of the trance you fell in to.
Quickly standing you began to pace around your room trying to contain yourself from a break down.
The room started to feel very stuffy making it hard for you to breath, as you hyperventilated and paced you waved your hand in your face trying to get some air to breath, grabbing your robe off your bed you swung it over yourself and walked out of your room.
Shutting the door you slid down the wall finally able to breath, after a few minutes you stood up and went downstairs grabbing your wand and going outside.
Closing your back door you turned around and took a deep breath in and out going over to your bench.
Sitting down you felt much better.

After 20 minutes or so you stood up and stretched before bidding your flowers goodnight and going inside locking the door behind you.
Sighing you laid down on the couch and pulled the throw back over you to get warm. After awhile of tossing and turning you finally fell asleep.

you woke up sitting straight up kicking and sweating, once your eyes opened and you saw you were in your living room your heart racing still.
There was a creek in the floor board behind the couch, jumping up you turned around wand in hand pointing it at whoever was behind you. Severus looked at you with concern lacing his features he put his hands up as he slowly approached you, he gently grabbed your wrist making you lower your wand.
"Are you okay" he asked to which you nodded looking away from him at the clock that read 8am.
"Just a nightmare" You said sitting down.
"Why are you down hear I thought you went in to your bedroom last night?" He asked
You sighed before answering.
"I can't sleep in there, I- we- it's just I can't" you said
He nodded in understanding.
The both of you sat and talked awhile.

You had made breakfast for the four of you, when the afternoon approached remus took aurora for a walk in the woods behind your house.
Leaving you and Severus alone for a couple hours.

"So why can't you sleep in your bedroom?" He asked as you sat staring out the back door.
"That week I took off" you sighed looking down
"I went to the ministry and after when I was walking down the street I ran in to Lockhart"
"We exchanged a few words before he invited me to have a drink with him, we went to a pub and talked for awhile drinking I don't know how many drinks" you said shrugging looking at Severus
"After we came back here and well I slept with him, being in my bed in my room reminds me of him and what I did, if I had declined his offer I wouldn't be this way right now" you said looking down wiping away a small tear that fell down your face. Severus took your hands in his squeezing them gently not knowing what to say but letting you know he was there for you.
Just then you saw Remus and aurora approaching the house.

"There you are dear, whatcha find?" you asked her "These mushrooms, it says they're edible" she said going over to the kitchen and placing them in the sink to wash. You smiled at her from the table.
