I sat in Levi's office, rubbing at the blood on my hands, Levi's obsession with cleaning had made an impact on me, and that wasn't always a good thing. Lately I had began to wonder if it was possible that Levi had turned me into a clean freak as well, but then again I did a lot of things that Levi considered filthy and unclean, apparently drying dishes with the same cloth was one of them. The door creaked open behind me, oh great, I wonder how many laps I'll have to run now. I knew he couldn't keep me long, because today was the day that we chose our Regiments, who knows maybe Levi could keep me here. I stood from my seat, turning to face Levi saluting. I pulled my brows together in confusion.

"Petra?" I glanced behind her, expecting Levi, but he wasn't there, "Where's Captain?"

"He wanted me to come check on you, he had to go in for some kind of meeting." Petra shut the door behind her, gesturing for me to sit. After a thorough inspection Petra stood from her crouched position, "It doesn't look like he touched you at all."

"He didn't." I stared down at the dry blood on my hands.

"Here." I moved my eyes up to Petra, finding a handkerchief in her hand.

"Isn't this Levi's?"

"I won't tell if you won't." Petra placed her pointer finger over her mouth as she winked, "Besides, he has a lot of those." Petra walked to a small table in front of one of the windows in Levi's office, pouring a glass of water.

"Why am I surprised?" I shook my head, attempting to rub off the dry blood, only resulting in the reddening of my skin.

"Not like that." Petra walked to my position hurriedly, "Here." Petra held out her hand, I gave her the handkerchief and watched as folded the fabric then dipped the corner of it into the water, "There, it should be easier now." Petra smiled, handing me the moist cloth.

"Thank you Petra." I nodded, wiping the blood off with ease. Petra nodded then moved to Levi's desk dusting it off a bit, with another handkerchief. "Seriously?! Does he really have those things everywhere?!" I laughed aloud as Petra's smile widened.

"He does." I shook my head, smiling.

"Do you think I'm ready?" I stared down at the dirtied cloth, then shifted my eyes to Petra, who was now leaning against Levi's desk, "To be part of the Squad I mean." Petra smiled sweetly,

"If Captain thinks so, then you have to be."

"Then why do I feel like I'm failing everyone I care about?" I watched Petra's face closely, "I mean, it used to make me upset but now it's just pissing me off, I have to be doing something wrong." Petra's eyes searched my face for a bit, then she spoke,

"Well, you have to be doing something right, Captain has thought pretty highly of you lately ."

"He has?" I sat up slowly, straightening my back, "Well what did he say?!" Petra smiled,

"He says you have potential, and that he knows you'll 'make a valuable addition to the Squad'." I drew in a breath, did Captain Levi really say that?! And most of all did he mean it?! Petra sat up from Levi's desk, "You should get going, you have to pick your regiment."

"Like we don't know what she's gonna pick." Gunther walked in the room smiling.

"I could change my mind Gunther." I laughed playfully punching his shoulder.

"Whatever kid." Gunther chuckled, ruffling my hair. "Did you get in some kind of fight or something?" Gunther eyed the stained handkerchief in my hands.

"Or something, I'm alright." I nodded confidently as Gunther grabbed my chin roughly, placing his other hand on the top of my head, turning my face to the left then to the right.
