I made my way back to Catherine swiftly, finding her awake, holding her head.

"How you holding up?" I held out a flask of water only to have it pushed away,

"Where's Em?"

"She's alive, we lost three people, there are more that need our help, we need to move, can you walk?"

"Hell yeah." Catherine stood, "I'm all set."

After slaying more titans we found the survivors, some hiding, some attempting to fight, nonetheless it was a good decision to aid them, there were twenty-five living, twenty of those able to fight.

"Do you all have food?" An older man approached me, his eyes wide without emotion.

"I'm sorry, we only have so much, we'll split what we have," I eyed our surroundings, "Horses?"

"Gone, Arthur's trying to call some back right now." I glanced over the mans shoulder, finding a younger boy whistling for the lost horses.

"Gas?"

"Could be better, got any to spare?"

"We retrieved a convoy wagon with some extra gas, but I will only give more gas to those who will fight." The man nodded,

"Understood, I'll take a tank, and Arthur over there's one of my best. Where are my manners, I'm Jack Ker-shaw, squad leader." I nodded shaking the mans hand

"Quinn Aaltonen, member of the special operations squad, we can't stay long, they'll smell us."

"Nice to make your acquaintance, if its all the same to you I'd like to wait a bit to allow my men to try and find their horses." I nodded,

"No problem, I'm sure you understand that we're exposed out here, and the longer that we stay here, the more of a risk there is."

"Of course, shouldn't take my men that long, we'll leave ASAP."

Squad leader Ker-shaw's men were able to find eighteen horses within thirty minuets, ten of which had useful supplies. I laid out the map on the grass under us, allowing a crowd to form around Ker-shaw and I as we analyzed the map. "We were going to cut through the forest, but since we have gained a great deal of numbers, I think it would be best if we cut east out of the forest and travel along the normal path back towards home, once we're close to wall Rose we'll pop a smoke signal to alert the Garrisons, I'm open to revisions at your suggestion." I eyed squad leader Ker-shaw as he rubbed his chin,

"You've got a well baked strategy here, my only concern is formation." I nodded

"Well since there are more of us, we can attempt to use commander Erwin's formation to the best of our ability, I understand its for long range formation, but we don't necessarily have to use it as such." I grabbed a nearby twig, drawing out Commander Erwins plan, "We'll keep the formation as short range as possible allowing those with gas to be where the 'enemy detection' would normally be but, considering that our enemies will mostly come from behind us, I think it best that we split those that can fight, and place them evenly in front of the group and behind the group." I drew two horizontal ovals into the dirt, beside the map, one ahead of the group and one behind. "Max distance between the first line and the last, should be no more than thirty meters, considering our numbers. Wounded will be in the middle, and we'll have to fit as many people onto horses and wagons as we can, its mostly hills out there, opportunities to use the gear will be at a minimum." I pulled my brows together, "Of course this is all a suggestion," I eyed Ker-shaw's face as he analyzed my dirt drawn plan.

"I think we'll roll with it." Ker-shaw lifted his head nodding, "One hell of a strategy kid."

"Thank you, sir, nevertheless there is only one way to test this plan."
