"Captain, there was nothing you could've done." Petra watched Captain Levi's face as he drew his brows together.

"Stupid Kid." Levi scowled down at his boots, his silence filling the room, "Did she have anyone that she wanted us to tell that she passed?"

"She hadn't mentioned anyone sir."

"We'll check her file for someone, anyone." Levi sat up, reaching across for his desk for her papers.

"Anything we can do Captain?" Gunther straightened his back a bit, as Eld took his side.

"Help us look." Levi grabbed a handful of papers from his stack, placing it on the desk in front of him.

"Nobody is leaving this room until we find someone."

I slowed Aries in front of a small creek,

"Thirsty?" I hopped off Aries' back, leading him to the creek, then retrieved a flask from the emergency pack that came with all the horses saddles. I reached down, filling the flask as Aries gulped down the water. "Slow down there." I laughed as I raised the flask to my lips.

"I'm so thirsty." I dropped the flask on the ground under me, that wasn't possible. "Can I have a drink Quinn?" I stared into Jamie's eyes, what was she doing here?

"I-I." I stepped back, falling into the shallow part of the stream. I closed my eyes tightly, this wasn't real, Jamie was gone. I breathed in deeply, "Jamie is gone." Tears poured down my face as something wet touched my face. I opened my eyes in shock as Aries nudged my face with his wet snout. I grabbed Aries' snout, stroking it lightly, "What's wrong with me boy?"  I splashed my face with the cool water, then washed out my matted hair, I stared at my reflection into the water, and hoped my hair wasn't as short as it felt.

After recomposing myself I re-filled my flask, then mounted Aries, it was about midday and I had been nibbling on the bread that was supplied to us in the emergency pack. There were two loaves of bread, one flask, two tanks of extra gas and a roll of bandages, other supplies that weren't in the emergency pack included, my rain gear and a blanket. All set. I fastened the saddle a bit, we had a long way to go.

"Captain I found something!" Petra stood from her seat, pushing her chair back as she did so. "She wrote here that she has a brother, it says his name is "Ace Aaltonen."

"Find him, do whatever it takes," Levi stood from his seat, leaning to see out the window." I'll be gone for awhile, when I come back I'll have a carriage ready." Levi left the room, leaving the squad behind, bewildered.

"Alright then, " Eld stood, "Gunther and I will ask around her grandmother's home, Petra, Auruo you go and ask her friends' parents, the Rowe's was it?" Eld sifted through the files, reading over them again.

"Yeah." Petra stood from her seat hurriedly,

"Lets find this girl's brother."

Levi strapped on his gear, going to the rooftops. Levi took a seat on the red tiles, watching the red sun meet the horizon. Too soon, it was too soon, she had just started. Her potential was now non-existent, he made the wrong call, he lost a squad member today, he lost a comrade.

"Idiot." Levi balled his fists, this all wouldn't have happened if he had just protected her friend, she might still be here. Levi relaxed his shoulders a bit, this was useless, this guilt wasn't going to bring her back, or find her brother. He couldn't let himself regret, he wouldn't. Levi stood watching the sunset fade into darker colors. "See ya kid," Levi turned away from the horizon, stopping himself before he left the roof, "hopefully not too soon."
