LTY II: Dejection

Mom, dad, and Jiyeon asked me to send Yanika home which she already rejected but they insisted. I have to drive her car while my car was being driven by one of our drivers following us.

"You have to go back when we get to the city proper. Don't let Sowon wait for you for too long," Yanika suddenly uttered on the passenger's seat. The twins were now sleeping and how I was wishing someday to have this kind of family.

I looked at her bewildered. "Han, eyes on the road please," she immediately reminded me which I followed.

"We're almost near your home," I told him.

"You know, I can do it myself right? I mean, don't be stubborn now. Sowon needs you," she insisted again. I have been trying to take care of her because Yanika always reminds me to do that. She visits her every day when we were at the hospital, if she can't come physically, she would call me to just ask about her but never about me.

There's a bond between me and Yanika but we specified that we can do whatever even if we are married. She even allowed me to love someone else and she was kind to allow me to do that. she didn't complain when I couldn't fulfill my job as a husband and I repent that. I just want to be good to her this time even when we were now only friends.

"Nika, please just this once. Can I send you home safely? I promise I will take care of her and I am already doing that but I am afraid that somebody will try to abduct you and the twins this time because it's pretty late," I said pleadingly. She stayed still but never answered me for a couple of seconds.

She sighed deeply, "But make sure to go home safely and take care of her. Be with her every second because it's hard to have no one by your side while you are pregnant Jeonghan." Yanika said it as she experienced it.

But did her husband left her before? What a jerk to let her be alone while pregnant with the twins alone?! I was suddenly mad inside when I heard Yanika stating that but I couldn't ask her directly about it.

We reached their home and Henry was already there waiting for Yanika to arrive. He thanked me for sending Yanika and the twins home. He immediately carried Shielo while Yanika was carrying Seraph. Yanika also thanked me but it pinched my heart when I saw them smile at each other and even put his arms over Yanika's shoulder.

I have seen them like this before but without the twins, which means when we saw them in the mall, Yanika just gave birth to the twins. I went inside the car which I wanted to drive alone so my driver went to the other security's car so I can drive alone.

I turned on the stereo because this silence is just hurting even more. Why does it have to be this song? Just fate playing with me again.

Yeah, that should be me.

Shoot! I didn't know I am an emotional man! My tears began to fall realizing how messed up I am and how destiny doesn't go with my plans.

I stopped at a convenience store to purchase a case of beer and went straight to the wind farm. I texted Sowon not to wait for me because I will just do something. I know that my securities followed me more because I just bought beers and I am driving so now I am more confident that I can get drunk on the wind farm.
