On a cold day, in a café in Sarajevo, Bosnia Herzegovina. A tall man with brown hair is calmly sipping his coffee. He checks his watch from time to time. Seems like he is waiting for someone. He is wearing a black overcoat paired with brown loafers and yellow sweater. Suddenly a man wearing black tuxedos arrives and greets him with a smile, he appears older than the man who was waiting for him.
They shake hands and both proceed to talk.
The new arrival speaks, “Gabriel it’s so good to see you, I hope you are doing well”.
“I am okay, I guess, now lets talk business”, says the younger man.
‘Always the professional. I guess some things never change.” The older man said with a chuckle.
Gabriel remains motionless and calm. The older man continues, “We have a new mission for you in Mexico. This one involves the famed Sinaloa cartel and is going to be one of our most sensitive deals. I hope you tread with caution, good luck”.
“Thanks for your concern, tell me the details and I am good to go”. Gabriel replied
“All the details lie in this briefcase, I don’t have to say a word once you observe its contents you will understand everything not my words, they come from big boss’ mouth”.
Gabriel smiles and takes the briefcase. They part ways and go in separate vehicles, their meeting completed in a discreet manner.
Once in his car Gabriel looks at the briefcase and wonders to himself how lucky he has been. He looks intently at the briefcase and thinks about the enormity of the mission and how much being successful in this mission could mean for his reputation and the organization in general. He is not worried or unfazed by the occasion though.
Years of training and promotion through many successful minor missions and business deals have prepared him for this moment. He is ready to seize it with both his hands.
Big boss has really helped turn his life around. He has risen from the ashes of his misfortune to become one of the leading lights of Black Dahlia.
Not many know of the name Black Dahlia, they are like a legend similar to the yeti, aliens or the slender man. Such is their level of secrecy and operational hierarchy that every part of the machinery knows its job and keeps the well-oiled machinery running 365 days a year 24/7.
Black Dahlia is an enigma chased by many top FBI agents and other intelligence groups of the world. The Interpol has released search warrants in their name but to no avail. No has ever targeted the Black Dahlia directly ever. The warrants are always in name of the puppets and most wanted lists are full of these puppets. Media outlets, investigative journalists and historians all have tried their best to come to a definitive conclusion about Black Dahlia with their years of research and data collected, to no avail.
After all these years people have started doubting the use of the name Black Dahlia and many journalists are scared to tamper with their reputation by using it in any related leads because they have been elusive for so many years general public and authorities have started believing they are more hoax than reality.
This kind of image helps them operate in the shadows and control more than ninety percent of all illegal activities world-wide. From organ trafficking in Asia, to illegal diamond excavation in Africa. From Drug trail through Taliban occupied regions to giving birth to dictatorial regimes, almost every corrupt or illegal activity’s strings are pulled by them. In simple words they indirectly rule the world.
No one knows the true identities of their top executives, the big boss to the lowest agent or senior agents. Every member of the Black Dahlia is a big question mark for the world, they hide in plain sight without causing a stir.
Gabriel belonged to this select group and lived under many aliases and ruses just like his fellow comrades.
In the shadows they operate with their slender hands, pulling the strings without you knowing it.
