One month later ……

I woke up as soon as my alarm bell rang. I was completely accustomed to a routine lifestyle since completing one month at Martinez Group of hotels.
I schedule was fixed and mundane, with a few changes once in a while.

Wake up at 6am take a shower and get ready by 7am, grab a quick breakfast and grab a cab by 8am and reach the office by 9am.

My day generally revolved around Alejandro and maintaining a smooth functioning of his activities. Also thanks to my over-qualification for the personal assistant job, i also took care of any financial discrepancies that might arise and deal with at the source. I was his micro-manager and financial expert without the official tag. I did not have a control over him, but he was really impressed by the value and efficiency he brought to his routine and did not forget to say few kind words to her once in a while.

Today was an important board meeting. This meeting would analyse the half-yearly sales and growth made by the corporation, hence it was strategically important for the next six months. All the discussions and decisions arising from them will impact the remaining part of the year.

I took shower in record time today!, something that’s really hard to believe. I guess the time saved will help me compose myself and have some much needed “me-time” before the big event.

I choose to wear a floral print blouse and green palazzo. I paired my outfit with white heels and tied my hair in a ponytail. I want to look as presentable as possible; I don’t want to fail Alejandro.

After grabbing a light breakfast from my favorite café, I quickly grabbed a cab to Martinez group of hotels headquarters.
I reached my workstation and arranged my stuff for the day. Next up I went to Alejandro’s cabin to discuss and arrange everything for the meeting, it took me nearly 40 minutes.

The meeting started at sharp 10am and lasted for almost 2 hours; it was intense to say the least. Finally after hours of back and forth deliberations Alejandro and executives reached some common grounds for the future.

After the meeting everyone proceeded for lunch. I felt relaxed as I felt really happy with my performance. My peaceful moment was broken by a sharp ring of the phone, it was Alejandro on the other line he wanted me in his office in five minutes.

I thought maybe he wanted to thank me personally or something. I reached his office as soon as possible. He has a serious look on his face as he motions me to sit. “Did I do something wrong?” I inquired incredulously.
He smiles and says, “It’s not you, something came up out of the blue and out of schedule, I need you to work on that”.
“Ohh, please tell me the details I will do the needful”, I said.

“There is a surprise buyer for our hotels, a gentleman from Italy by the name Gabriel De Luca. I am interested in the deals because these hotels haven’t been profitable in long time and he has given me an offer I cannot refuse. I need you to draft a proper deal as per my instructions and help me clinch this deal. We will play elusive and too hard to get, let’s not show any desperation.” I nodded a yes and we spoke in length about the deal.
