LETS CONTINUE WITH THE FEELS

Silence fell over the group. Jiang Cheng could not say a word either. There was no denying that during those he never once would question anything. He was raised more under the guidance of his mother more so than his own father. Perhaps, thats where the favoritism came in. His mother wanted him to be a strong and tough man who would not be phased by anything. He was being taught to be like her. Therefore, he never doubted her words even when he tried to it was difficult.

We'll continue. Next scene. We have some of the images during your mission with the Aqua Demon.

"I remember that one very clearly," Xichen says. "The Wen Cla were the first to have the Aqua demon invading their waters. Instead of being able to deal with it and get rid of it, they decided to send the creature over to our own waters. Because of that several beasts from the water would attack our own in the city. We went out to investigate and see what the problem was. They attacked in the city we handled the situation, but when we went out into open waters it fiercely attacked. Master Wei at the time managed to stop some of the beasts from attacking Wanji. That's when it attacked us all in its true form. We had to rescue some of our own, and in the process Wei Wuxian had fallen over into the water..."

Correct, this is what he saw.

The image changes to Wei Wuxian riding on his sword Suiban, reaching for Jiang Cheng's hand. However, a long ribbon of resentful energy had taken ahold of his ankle yanking him deep into the waters. The impact of crashing into the water taking away his ability to move. He slowly lifts his arm reaching for the other Lan clan member. The entanglement of resentful energy however, was overpowering him. Despite being trapped within the resentful energies, they weren't fully engulfing him. He opened his eyes slightly and glanced around as the strings of resentful energy began to wrap around his body.

'The resentful energy...' slowly he lifts his hand reaching up as a single strand of dark energy swarms up to his finger being attracted to him in some way. But before he could get even more immersed, a hand reaches in and pulls him out the water allowing him to breathe. He coughs looking to the face of Lan Wanji.

"Wow, Hanguang-Jun...you really saved him...." Jingyi says.

He nods.

"That event was too much to bare....we could not handle it on our own until uncle arrived..."

Now lets go to the incident that occurred at the Cloud Recesses themselves. Lan Qiren had brought back zombies to use for training for other disciples. And in the end they had escaped. You three were left to fight them off. Correct?

"That is correct, and Wei Wuxian had separated for Lan Wanji," Jiang Cheng says.

The image shifts to Wei Wuxian running for his life. He holds off the zombies the best that he can and even protects a rabbit at the same time. Battered and bruised, with no real way to fight he lifts his arm to protect himself and the rabbit.  But something strange occurs. The attack stops.

"This is....!"

An interaction with resentful energy that was not intended. The moment his hand went up the zombie stopped completely. He slowly opens his eyes and sees the resentful energy surging from the zombie as it began to sink into the surface of his skin. He gasps and moves back feeling the resentful energy moving through his body attempting to consume him through his golden core. He crouches down in pain grabbing his chest and all the while the zombies moved around him. They paid him no mind. He continued to struggle until finally Jiang Cheng's voice shouts his name from above and throws his sword to him.
