THIS IS A MODERN AU WITH ALL OF OUR FAVORITES LIVING IN A WORLD LIKE OUR OWN, BUT ONLY WEI WUXIAN CAN'T REMEMBER WHAT THEIR ONCE CLOSE BOND WAS TIED BY FATE.
The sun shines through the window of Wei Ying's room decorated in colors of black and red. The walls a pale beige with curtains of black hanging over the window and paintings of images one could only see in dreams or nightmares. His bed covered in red and white sheets, and his bed frame wooden and plain with shelves above his head, and drawers at the bottom. The very front with a carving of his initials and a small symbol of a rabbit. On the nightstand beside his bed, sits a bottle of alcohol and a shot glass. A music stand also sits with a few music sheets laid on it, and a flute set on a stand on his desk beside his laptop. Despite the color scheme, it wasn't enough to keep the sun light from beaming into his face forcing his eyes to clench tightly before opening them to face the light. He sighs and buries himself under his covers until a sudden slam causes him to flinch.
"Oi! Get up you idiot!" a voice shouts from his doorway.
'Could have swore I locked the door...!'
"Get up!" rough hands reach to the sheets as they yank them away leaving Wei Ying to roll to the floor with a loud thud.
"Ugh...Jiang Chang....why?!"
"Because you idiot we have work to go to, so either get up or lose your job,"
Wei Ying brushes his hand back through the locks of his black hair as it drops over his back.
"Fine, fine I'll get up,"
He jumps up and releases a loud yawn much to his brother's annoyance.
"Ugh, stop that and get dressed,"
"Got it!" he shouts as the door closes before him. He looks to the hinges and sighs. Once again they were damaged.
"He really needs to avoid kicking it when it's locked...it costs a bit to fix the whole door..." he says with a sigh before diving into the closet to get dressed for the day.
Being a young man who had graduated high school, but refused to continue with his education, he really had one other choice. To work. Luckily, he had a job working with a very close friend of his. A friend who liked to be a bit laid back, and was very in love with the features of nature, and the sounds of birds. He often had bird cages along the outside of his work place, even though his place of business focused on many animals and not just one. But Wei Ying's favorite animals in the shop were the rabbits, and a single crow that happened to just stay at the shop for no other reason than to cling to him. Some have seen it as some form of a bad omen, or something, but for some reason he never felt that there was anything wrong with it.
As Wei Ying ties his hair up with a red ribbon, he grins at the thought of getting to see his favorite creatures. It pained him to have to leave the comfort of his bed, but he would do it anyways for his children.
He cleans up his face and prepares for the rest of the day as he grabs some breakfast to go leaving behind his brother in the dust. While the two were not related by blood, they still considered the other as family. And that was perfectly fine for the both of them.
"Watch where you're going! You almost bumped into me!"
"Sorry! See ya there Jiang Chang!" he hops onto a red bicycle and munches on the toast in his mouth as he makes his way to work.
Wei Ying felt a form of deja vu like he had been through this before. Waking up to his brother the way that he had, to the same amount of sunshine that had decided to infiltrate his room. The same sunshine that was coating over his pale skin as he rode along the sidewalk munching on whatever was left of his toast.
