CONTINUING WITH THIS SAD FEST

The now tired and worn out Wei Wuxian continues to sit awaiting for his best friend to come down the mountain. However, something was near by and it caught his attention. He stood up, and turned just to see Wen Zhuiliu approach quickly. Wei Wuxian unable to move fast enough is immediately shoved back by his core melting hand. He cringes and the moment he stumbled back a sword is jabbed straight through his body. His breath pauses in his through as he gasps and drops to the ground coughing up a bit of blood. He holds himself up looking down to the blood that was now dripping from his chest. Wen Chao steps forward taunting him and mocking his weak state as he kicks him around. He continues his winded out mocking and yanks his head up off the ground by his hair.

Everyone watched in horror at what was going to happen next. But the words that were spoken by Wei Wuxian struck fear more so than the scene itself.

"Wen Chao....stop wasting time....just do what you cam to do. After I die...I will come back...as a fierce ghost....and haunt you dogs forever!!"

Wen Chao sucks at his teeth and knocks him over immediately as an idea comes to mind. He and his subordinates drag him away leaving a small trail of blood behind and the bell from his sect.

"Where are they taking him....?" Lan Wanji says coldly as he watches the scene.

Remain calm. You will see in a moment, but I must ask for you all to be still. Do not move. Do not yell. Do not throw fits. It will be hard to watch. If you would like to stop then I will. If not then...please remain seated and collected even if you do not feel collected. This means you Wanji

Lan Wanji was already on edge. He began to regret more and more about his actions back then, but there was nothing he could do to change it. The past is the past. And they could only move forward.

Ready?

Everyone nods silently.

Very well.

The scene changes to the very top of the burial mounds. Clouded skies with predator birds flying in circles above the heads of Wen Chao and his men. He shoves Wei Wuxian down to the ground and plants his foot on his head continuing to mock him with pride. He pulls him up by the very strands of his hair clenched tightly in his hand. He holds him at the edge with a crazed grin and yanks him forward before finally throwing him off the edge.

"He threw him into the burial mounds?!" Jiang Cheng shouts.

"And...with no golden core....it would be impossible to...to even ....resist all the resentment energy...!" Sizhui says.

"B..but...d..did he really..s..survive the fall?!" Jingyi shouts.

"Everyone be silent!"

All eyes fall onto Lan Wanji in shock. He never raises his voice. And the only time he ever did was when he was offended by Wei Wuxian all those years ago. His hands were clenched in tight fists. The very core of his own being wanted to leave. Wanted to take Wei Wuxian and leave. Forget knowing it. Forget being curious. The pain of knowing was worse than not knowing.

The scene changes to Wei Wuxian slowly regaining conscious at the bottom of the burial mounds. His breath heavy and his body in immense pain. His lower body could not move, but it was not going to stop him. He glares forward before himself and begins to drag his body across the ground. He showed no care in trying to pay attention to anything else around him, but his body became cautious as he heard the dark whispers from the resentful energy all around him. He slowly glances back behind, as the energy starts to swarm around him and collect deep into his body. He struggles and tries to ignore it and move.
