I completely blacked out.

Luckily for her, Karma came in the nick of time. He picked her up and carried her back to his place. He carefully laid Shiniko down on his sofa and left to get the first aid kit.

He took care of all her wounds, but came across the scars on her arm. He knew exactly why they were there. Even before he saw what happened earlier. He lightly brushed his thumb over the scars.

After taking care of her, he went to the kitchen and started to make dinner.

Is this what heaven smells like?... Ugh... everything hurts...

I slowly opened my eyes, only to see a ceiling.

Am I in heaven?... Haha, who am I kidding...

What happened?...

I slowly sat up and looked down at myself. My school sweater had been taken off along with my school tie. The sleeves of my white shirt had been rolled up.

Arms, bandaged; legs, bandaged; and hands, bandaid-ridden. I brought my hand to my face and, yup, patched up cheek, a few bandaids and a wrapped head.

Right... That happened...

I rolled down my sleeves.

Heh... Bitches...

I smiled remembering my last thought.

I sat up and looked around my surroundings, knowing exactly where I was.

Aah, so he helped me...

As if on cue, Karma walked over with a tray of food, "Oh hey, you're awake, how ya feelin'?" He set the tray of food on the table in front of the couch.

"I've been better, obviously." I smirked.

Karma sighed, "You never change, do you?" He handed me the tray of food. I took the tray and thanked him.

"So you saw, huh?"

"Yeah, I did. So, please, don't do that to yourself anymore and tell me if something's bothering you. I'll always be here for you." he reassured.

"Sure... I'll try..." I whispered.

Im sorry, but that's just not possible...

He smiled and gently patted my head, before turning on the TV and finding something to watch.

"Delicious as always I see," I complimented the meal he made.

"It's just something I make daily, nothing special."

I continued munching down on the meal in front of me as we watched whatever was on TV.

"Thanks for everything, but I should go now."

I got on my feet and grabbed my sweater that was draped over the couch. Karma picked up my bag from the ground.

"I'll take you home," he offered. "After today, I don't think I can leave you alone for more than a minute." he chuckled.

"Sure, thanks." I smiled.

The walk home was serene, but we didn't mind.

"Thanks for everything again. Have a good evening." I unlocked the door and went inside.

"No big, just take care of yourself." I nodded.

"See you tomorrow," I waved as he was leaving.

I went to my room, tossed my bag on the desk and took a shower.

Ugh, these damn cuts and bruises... the pain almost, almost makes me want to shrivel up like a raisin...

After that painful shower, I did my homework and climbed into bed.
