Midterms were coming up. Koro-sensei made one of our class periods a "high-speed enhanced midterm study hall". At least that's what he calls it.

Six doubles for Japanese; eight doubles for math; three for social studies; four for science and English; one for Naruto; and one on R&R duty.

Karma and I didn't pay much attention, since we were confident that we'd pass the midterms without a hitch. I skipped that class and trained in a secluded part of the mountain instead.

As I was about to walk past the faculty room, I heard a familiar voice from inside. I peeked through the little opening between the door. Koro-sensei moving and talking frantically.

Oh, it's just Uncle... Koro-sensei's probably hoping for a higher pay...

As I was eavesdropping on their conversation, Nagisa eventually joined me. It was hard trying to not get caught.

"I received an alarming complaint from a D Class teacher. It seems two students of yours glared threateningly at two upperclassmen, such that the upperclassmen feared for their lives."

We both had a sweat drop expression moment when we heard that, but continued to eavesdrop. As he neared the door, I pulled Nagisa back, which caused him to grunt in pain.

When he stepped out, he was surprised to see the two culprits right outside, one of which being me.

Nagisa looked up slightly and I had a nervous smile on.

Principal Asano continued with a fake smile, "Hi there! I look forward to your midterm results. Best of luck to you."

Like that was actually genuine...

Once the principal turned away, he dropped the smile and walked out. After he passed me, I dropped the smile too.

Nagisa was in somewhat of deep thought, I kept calling his name and waving my hand in front of his face for what seemed like hours, until he snapped back into reality.

"isa...Nagisa... Hello... Nagisa!" I whisper-shouted.

"O-oh, Sorry 'bout that," he finally answered.

"It's alright. I was just wondering if you wanted to walk home together, since Karma already left." I offered.

"Uh, sure," he accepted.

As we were walking home, we talked about the upcoming exams and ways to assassinate our target. But soon enough, we had to go our separate ways and headed home.

When I got home, I went to the kitchen and grabbed a small amount of fruits and veggies. I washed, cut and took the plate of food to my room. As I was about to leave, Shuu just came home.

"Welcome back." I greeted with the plate in hand.

"Sorry, I can't talk right now. I have a lot of work that needs to be done." He hurried to his room and took my plate of food.

I sighed angrily and went back into the kitchen to prepare more. I mostly binged on anime and dramas since I had nothing to do the rest of the day.

Today was the day of the midterms. I got ready and before leaving the house, I texted Shuu:

Good luck on the midterms, u probs won't need it tho :)

I got a reply a few minutes later.

Shuu: Thanks and good luck to you as well, even though I know you won't need it either

The day went by as usual, but Koro-sensei made even more of himself to help the students study. By the end of the class he was exhausted.

"Not that I don't appreciate it, but why's he teaching us so hard anyways?" Okajima questioned.
