"Die! Die! Die! Die!" Kayano repeated multiple times while attacking.

I watched in horror.

Am I really going to lose one of my best friends like this?...

All of a sudden Koro-sensei's face appeared in front of us.

"Kayano's ferocious attacks don't leave me much time to spare, so leaving an image of my face is about the best I can manage,'' he explained.

He told the class that one of us had to distract Kayano from her bloodlust, even for a moment, so he could remove her tentacles.

If we didn't, the tentacles will continue draining her of her life force and she will die.

Koro-sensei's plan was to let Kayano attack his most critical weak point: his heart, located under his tie.

The tentacles' bloodlust would be weakened and one us would have to make kayano forget about assassination by any means.

Damnit, how the hell can we do that?...

I stood there, racking my brain for any ideas, but none came to mind.

That's when it happened. Koro-sensei let Kayano attack his weak point like he said. He wrapped his tentacles around Kayano's waist, effectively immobilizing her and brought her back to the ground.

I watched as Kayano struggled in his grip with her tentacles still in Koro-sensei's chest.

Someone, please do something...

Nagisa walked up to Kayano with a determined look on his face.

"Nagisa..."

Then, he kissed her.

French kissed her.

My jaw dropped slightly.

That's one way to do it, I suppose...

Karma and Nakamura took out their phones and captured the moment.

After 15 hits, Kayano was dazed.

I guess Irina wasn't wrong...

After that, Koro-sensei was able to remove the tentacles and put out the flames.

We rushed over to Kayano who lost consciousness.

Okuda sat on her knees and gently placed Kayano on her lap. I stood next to her, while Kanzaki also kneeled.

"Does this mean Kayano will be okay?" I asked.

"Most likely, yes," Koro-sensei answered. "Though, she'll need complete rest for a while."

She's gonna be alright...

I let out a shaky breath. Tears streamed down my face as I thought about all the memories we've made together and what would've happened if she was gone.

Koro-sensei coughed up... yellow blood? The class got worried.

"I'm fine. It'll just take a while to recover," Koro-sensei said, since he got hit in the heart. "Now, I know you're all dying to hear all about my backstory, but please, wait just a little longer."

A gunshot was heard and Koro-sensei managed to dodge the bullet.

We all looked at where it came from.

"Don't get all dramatic about dying now."

Shiro. Why is he back?...

My sadness left me when I heard his 'voice'. He also had a companion.

"You're still alive enough to dodge. Useless girl. If she was willing to give her own life for that revenge plan of hers, you'd think she could have done better than this." he said.

"You're quite the monster. Just how many assassins have you driven away in a single year? But there are still three of them right here before you." He pulled down his mask and took off his voice modifier. "Isn't that right, Miss Kuroshira?"

My eyes widened when he called me out. The students all looked at me with the same wide eyed expression ranging from shocked to confusion.

"I'll be your final opponent," 'Shiro' continued. "You took everything away from me...and I'll make you pay for it with your life."

"The genius scientist, concealed by a cloak and voice modifier... So it is you, Yanagisawa." Koro-sensei revealed.

"Let us go 2.0." He placed a hand on his companion's shoulder and walked away. "Come March, his accrued life will meet a perfectly fitting end." They left.

2.0... that doesn't sound good...

Just then, Kayano woke up. We were all relieved that she came back to us.

"Kayano, are you okay?" Nagisa asked.

She looked away, slightly blushing, "Uh huh..."

"At the start, it was pure bloodlust that drove me. But as I spent time with Koro-sensei, the conviction that fueled it began to waver," she began to explain.

"I started to wonder if there was more to his background. Circumstances I didn't know about. And if so, I thought I should find out what they are before killing him.

But by that time, the bloodlust in my tentacles had swelled forth. They wouldn't let me back down. I'm such an idiot, right?" She had a sad, regretful expression as she continued.

"You were all genuinely enjoying your assassinations, while I wasted a whole year on plain old revenge."

The class silently listened to her story.

"Kayano," Nagisa spoke up. "Once you showed me this hairstyle, I stopped fretting about my long hair. And like you said, you coined the name 'Koro-sensei'—and we liked it enough to use it all year.

It doesn't matter what your motives were. You're one of the people who made this classroom what it is. No matter how much you suffered on your own, we can't let you say it was all an act - not all those days you spent smiling right there with us," he reassured.

"Koro-sensei promised to tell us everything once we were all together. He's not a saint. We know he doesn't always do the right thing. But let's hear him out. All of us, together."

"Yeah," Kayano nodded as she started to cry. "Thank you. Now I don't have to act anymore."

"Koro-sensei," I turned to face him and whispered. "It's time to tell them your past... As long as it's the truth, they'll accept it."

Then, I turned back around to face the class and sighed.

It's now or never...

"As I hope they will mine..."

"To be honest, I was hoping to never talk about my past if I could avoid it," Koro-sensei said truthfully. "But I see I have no choice." He gave in. "I don't want to lose your trust—the bond we all share."

Same here...

"This past summer, on that tropical island, Karasuma-sensei said of Irina sensei:

'The better the assassin, the broader her skillset.'

I think that's relevant here. You, the E Class, are the first students I've ever taught. Even so, I've managed to teach you just about every subject without a hitch. Why do you think that is?" he asked.

Realization hit some of the students. I could see it on their faces.

"That's right," Koro-sensei confirmed. "Until two years ago, I was the assassin known as the Reaper. And one more thing...

Even if you do nothing, I'll still die come march.

Either I die alone, or the earth dies with me—that's the only part of the future an assassination can change." he stated.

And thus, he started to tell us the story of his past.
