"And the first thing she said to you after you said all that was "I told you that you liked him"" Haile says a little disgusted after I tell her the whole Henry situation. "That isn't the first thing you say to someone after they just told you they think they were just raped."
Why am I just now noticing how wrong that was of her to say.
"It is" I whisper. "But I don't talk to him anymore. This past week he's been trying to apologize and talk to me in the locker room but we have nothing to talk about and I don't plan on accepting his apology any time soon" I shrug my shoulder.
"And you have every right not to" she says angrily.
"Exactly but for some reason ever since Jasper left he's been trying to start talking to me again" I roll my eyes leaning back on her couch.
She's also trying to get closer to me ever since Jasper left but I'm not gonna say anything about it yet.
"That just seems weird. You hang around weird people" she leans back too.
"Speaking of weird people why were you staring at me upstairs" I laugh bringing up the awkward situation.
"I don't know how to get to know people so I tell them about myself then wait for them to branch off something I said" she laughs. "I promise I don't just unironically stare at people I bring into my room" she begins staring at me again.
I don't know about this one.

"The anime was better" Izzy suddenly breaks the science.
After Haile and I's chat she said she'd get started on dinner and that I could go sit in her room with Izzy. When I went in she didn't even look up at me she just continued doing whatever on her phone. I grabbed a random manga off the shelf, which just so happened to be death note, and got on the floor and started reading. This was a good sign because it meant I didn't have to make small talk with Henry's little sister.
I'm judging her because she's Henry's sister but I'm judging her because she's his sister.
"What did you say?" I close the book a little, leaving my fingers in between the pages.
"I said, "the anime was better"" she repeats slowly, for the first time looking up from her phone.
"Bitch- Oop I'm sorry I didn't mean to call you a bitch" I put my hand over my mouth then quickly get back on topic. "But little girl the anime was not better than the manga" I put a sheet of note book paper in the place of my fingers the put the book down.
"They aren't even moving on the pages and not to mention all the reading" she rolls her eyes at me.
"The manga gives way more detail than the anime and it's basically the same amount of reading unless-" I pause and scrunch up my face. "Unless you're.. you're" I gag a little.
A smirk slides across her face already knowing what I'm struggling to say. She puts her phone down and sits up trying not to laugh. Just by the look she's giving me I can tell we're both thinking to the same line from death note right now.
"A dubbed watcher" I say causing her to burst out in evil laugher which only made me start gagging more.
"Never even listened to a subbed meme" she taunts.
"Oh you sick you know that" I look her up and down in disgust.
"I'm telling you if you read the manga first you'll go into the anime knowing way more" I motion to the manga all over Haile's shelves.
"Or you could watch the anime then read the manga if you have questions" she rolls her eyes again.
"Or you could go into the anime with no questions and enjoy the cinematics" I huff. "And your eyes are gonna get stuck if you keep rolling them"
"Like I haven't heard that a hundred times already" she beings to roll her eyes but they don't come back down. "Oh my gosh oh my gosh!" She lets out a blood reneging scream as she starts pulling at her eye sockets.
I quickly jump up standing in front of her, my hands shaking as I try and figure out what to do screaming isn't helping. I pull her hands away from her eyes and pull her bangs out of her face. Her eyes come back down just as the door is thrown open. She throws her head back cackling and holding her stomach.
"What are y'all doing!" Haile run over to us wearing an apron and holding a bowl of broccoli. "Ohio what happened" she looks in between Izzy and I.
"You're sick!" I hit her shoulder as she starts gasping for air.
"Izzy stop laughing like that before you stop breathing completely" Haile pulls her by her jacket so she sits up. "What happened"
"He thought- my eyes-" she starts hitting the bed.
"I hate your brother a lot, but you?" I point at her. "You're pushing it you little menace" I scowl at her.
"Izzy how about you come down and help me with dinner while Ohio cools off up here" she pulls her off the bed.
"I'll help watch the food in the oven but I'm not cooking a thing" she wipes the tears from her eyes.
"Let her stay up here I'll come help you" I quickly pull Haile over to the door. "Wouldn't want that little heathen messing with my food" I glare at her before we leave the room.
"You gonna tell me what that was about" she glances at me as we walk down the stairs.
"She pretended her eyes were stuck in the back of her head after I told her they'd get stuck if she kept rolling them" I shiver thinking about her screaming. "She needs to be an actor or something"
"She'll do things like that whenever she's bored just don't mind her" she puts the broccoli down and waves me off.
"You want me not to mind her screaming" I cross my arms.
"She's always screaming next door so I learned to ignore it pretty quickly" she shrugs smugly.
"I don't think it's normal to get use to your neighbors screaming"
