"November really doesn't give any warnings does she" Jasper laughs nervously through the phone.

"She's the king, queen, and executioner, once she's made up her mind it's final" close my text book and push it away from me.

"King?"

"Don't change the subject, why were you pulling me off Fred" I yell a little.

"He would've thrown himself backwards onto the concrete and you could have gotten seriously hurt. Why am I wrong to be worried about you?" He says with an annoyed tone.

"I'm not saying you're wrong it's just-"

"We're going to go pump him full of holes that's what!" I hear my dad yelling from downstairs.

"Can we talk about this later, somethings going on downstairs.." I get up from the bed ready to hang up no matter his answer.

"..no I don't want you to be mad at me" he mumbles cutely. "I'm sorry for trying to stop you.. I know you can take care of yourself but I was just worried, ya know?"

I know he's apologizing right now but why does he have to sound so hot when he does it. He's making it hard for me to stay mad after we hang up.

"It.. it's alright. I'm sorry for picking a fight with you for no reason" A smile plays on my lips. "And I'm not mad at you so stop talking like that" I roll my eyes as if he can see me.

"Like what" he says in a low voice then starts laughing.

"Shut up-"

"Damn right! We'll both be going to jail tonight!" my dad's voice booms through the house again.

"Okay okay but I really have to go, I'll call you back" I quickly hang up without waiting for his response.

I leave my phone on the bed and run out of the room. I get to the bottom of the stairs in a matter of seconds to find dad and November standing in the living room with their shot guns in hand. Papa standing in front of the two, his arms out blocking their path to the door. Aries sat back on the couch with popcorn in her mouth.

"Like hell you will! Both of you put those things away now!" As papa starts yelling I duck under him and sit next to Aries.

"You aren't gonna help papa" I ask pointing at what's playing out in our living room.

"If they get through papa you better hope Henry was in the matrix cuz he's gonna have to doge them bullets or get hit" she shrugs.

"Look even though I wanna swing a baseball bat at the brat's head-"

"Papa!" I cut papa off before he could even finish.

"Even thought I want to do it doesn't mean I will" he turns to be for a second before looking back at the two with guns. "Now go put those away or so help you god!" He doesn't even finish the threat.

We all know papa can't punish us, he's got a soft spot for his kids. Dad on the other hand is a different story. He'll punish dad like no tomorrow. I don't wanna know how but I just know that whenever he does, dad walks around the house with an attitude all day.

November and Dad pause for a second thinking it over. Dad groans dramatically as he turns around heading for the garage. November stands there before rolling her eyes and following after him.

I guess she doesn't wanna deal with dad's attitude either.

"You guys don't have to be mad nothing even happened" I mumble as papa plops down next to us.

"But something could have happened. Why didn't you call one of us? What where you even doing at a party, you never liked crowds?" He asks as November and dad return and take their seats, joining in on the family meeting.

"I went with a friend to get his book and we just ended up staying in the backyard for a minute.. he went inside to get some water and we came back out he pulled Henry off of me before he could do anything" I explain to them then turn to November. "I told you this earlier"

"Aww I guess I missed it, I was to busy with my fist in Henry's face" she laughs as dad fist pumps her.

"Don't encourage her!" Papa scold dad causing him to shut up real quick. "Aries I guess you missed Ohio explaining himself too" he crosses his arms and turns to her.

"Bitch tried to jump in and pulled Nov's hair so I had to get in there but Danielle got in before me" she shrugs.

"That's my girl" dad fake cries as he reaches over papa to give her a high five, earning a glare from him. "I mean watch your language" he winks at her.

"And Ohio why were you trying to choke that boy" he turns to me.

"He was gonna kick November when she was already down! What kind of brother would I be not to jump in?" I point to November.

"My babies come give dad a hug. I'm so proud of you all" Dad jumps up with his arms out, not being able to contain himself any longer.

We jump up and hug him, papa standing up with his arms crossed. He walks around us for a second before smacking dad in the back of the head.

"You just live for violence don't you" he rolls his eyes before looking at my sisters and I. He pushes dad aside and brings us into a hug, "I'm glad you all defended each other, I'll make cookies to celebrate" he starts giving us all kisses

"Can't I get some kisses too" dad smirks at papa.

Papa rolls his eyes, letting go of us and walking over to dad. He pulls him down by the collar of his shirt into a deep kiss.

"Get. A. Room." Aries gags over her popcorn.

"If you don't mind, I'd like to have these cookies before the day ends" November immediately heads for the stairs.

"Aye don't leave us!" I quickly get up, Aries following me, as we run up the stairs with November.

It's now Tuesday morning. The sun pouring into the living room shining light on all the microscopic pieces of dust flying around in the room. The birds outside talking to one another. The tired yawns coming from my siblings and I every so often. But one thing from this Tuesday morning differs from the rest.

November, Aries, and I are sat on the couch in our pjs staring at our papa in front of us. He dragged us down here at 6. It's way past 6:00 now and we've been sitting here for ten minutes. Not knowing what for really.

"Good morning" Papa's voice invades the room causing November's head to shoot up. "You might be wondering why I called you three down" he crosses his arms.

"I stopped wondering after 2 minutes and November is struggling to stay awake" Aries says with her head in her hands.

"Well they school called" he says.

"Tell them I said morning" November says preprinting to get up.

"Sit down" Papa orders before she could even stand on her feet. "They told me you three will be suspended for a week and a half for fighting on school grounds" papa sighs avoiding eye contact with us.

"So we're out of school until next Wednesday?" I ask as I try and push down my yawn.

"They want you to come back Thursday. And don't worry the people you fought with will also be out till then" papa answers. "But just because y'all are out of school that doesn't mean you won't have to clean the house as punishment.. now go get some sleep before we start cleaning" he says sternly as he limps back to his room.

"Did y'all see that or was it just me" I whisper to my sisters once papa is out of view.

"I don't wanna think about it please...it's to early for this" Aries stands up stretching.

"Talking about dad fucking papa?" November questions like it's nothing.

"What did I just say" Aries glares at November only making her grin.
