About a month has passed since we landed in Michigan.

The weather has been dropping recently and I could tell it was taking a toll on the two reptilians. They were starting to get a little sluggish despite their suits providing them with extra warmth to keep their body temperatures up. We had long moved into the beautiful 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom, plain white farmhouse. The property itself had only about 10 acres of land so by no means was it big enough for crops but it was perfect for isolation.

There was a huge storage shed that also doubled as a garage. It wasn't big enough for the ship but nobody should come across it as it was still cloaked and hidden in the trees on our property that was lined with a fence and no trespassing signs. The shed was plenty big enough for our only car that Jasmine just went and took out a loan for.

It was a black 2016 Suburu Crosstrek (or at least that's what I think it's called, I obviously don't know Earth cars.) It was a decent-sized car and it was perfect for us just to go get groceries, as well as small pieces of furniture or supplies Jasmine and I needed for work. We honestly didn't need to drive much, being that both of us can work from home. It also doesn't help that Jasmine is the only one who knows how to drive at the moment.

I guess it was safe to say Jasmine was staying, which I was fine with. I was honestly worried about how I was going to live without her around.

Our relationship was more complicated now than it was before. She was in desperate need of support and I was the only source for her. She depended on me for that. And I looked at her for her knowledge and wit over basically everything. Dare I say it, we actually rely on each other.

If you would have told me this back at DRAKO I would have called you insane and delusional. Becoming friends with the one and only Bombshell? The one capable of killing large groups of people all at once? The one capable of ripping metal to shreds? The one capable of absorbing any force you put her in front of? You must think I have a death wish.

But now, I was able to say that Bombshell was the product of years and years worth of torture and manipulation. I'm able to say that Jasmine possessed the ability to care and be gentle despite having reasons to let those attributes fade with time. I'm able to say she will do anything for you if it will make you feel better, but she fears she is the cause of the pain constantly. I'm able to say that Jasmine was worth having another chance at life. I'm able to say she is not Bombshell.

My favorite part of our property was our little pond with a built-in dock. I haven't taken a dip in it yet but I sat on the dock a lot staring at the light reflecting off the water, especially at sunset.

Ryan sometimes joined me too and we would have long conversations. Being that she is now technically my cousin, Ryan made her human disguise look a lot like me. The only major difference was that I had dyed my hair silver and she kept my natural blonde. During our discussions, I found out that during the snap (what earthlings call the event) Col had stumbled across her cell and broke her out. She had escaped with Col when she suddenly teleported to me after a while. She wasn't sure but she thinks it happened because she couldn't stop thinking about me and where I was. Her body wasn't able to pull off the act until it had enough stored energy and she was able to fully concentrate her mind. Ryan had been practicing her powers by teleporting around the house, which didn't seem to use as much energy compared to traveling across space which made sense.

I was honestly surprised by Col's actions. He has made it very clear that his views of Skrulls were not good ones. He had the perfect opportunity to leave Ryan in her cell to slowly rot away, but he didn't. I asked Ryan what Col's attitude was like when they escaped together. She answered saying that he was still aggressive in how he chose his words but he showed that he cared by making sure she was ok which was a step in the right direction.
