"I hate it here," I whispered.

We were currently hitch-hiking a free ride on a train to upstate New York. The train car was disgusting. Everything was sticky for some reason, it was crowded as hell and I was scared of getting pickpocketed even though I didn't have anything of value. My feet were starting to get tired from standing for so long that I started to lean on Jasmine's side instead of the pole.

To try and help support me she placed her arm around me and held me close. I leaned the back of my head against her shoulder. I tried to get a seat for a while now but every time we stopped and people would leave they were instantly taken by other people.

"We're almost there. We're leaving the central district. Should be leaving the tunnels and seeing sunlight soon too."

"Banner better say yes because I'm not taking no for an answer if I have to do this again."

"Please don't make him mad."

"I'd bet my money on you."

"I'd rather not start a fight with someone who can pick me up, slam me into the floor, and toss me aside like a chew toy."

"But you can absorb all that impact, plus you can shapeshift into a she-hulk."

"Can we please stop having this conversation next to other people who are definitely eavesdropping?"

"Ok...I'm right though."

"Enough." She chuckled as she tightened her grip on me and pulled me as close as humanly possible to her.

She rested her chin against my head, but I quickly noticed she was pressing her nose against me too. I giggled and decided to call her out on it.

"Stop sniffing my hair, you freak." I gently pushed her.

"It's not my fault you smell so good."

"I'm literally not wearing any perfume."

"Those chemicals block out your natural scent." She leaned her mouth closer to my ear. I could feel her hot breath against my skin.

"Oh?" I started to heavily blush. "And what does my natural scent smell like?"

"Sweet, like natural vanilla, not that bottled shit."

"I'll keep that in mind from now on." If I had known not wearing perfume drives her this crazy I would've thrown out all my presume bottles away in a matter of seconds.

It makes me wonder what other things she can smell, and how quickly she can pick up on them.

I'm curious to test how strong her self-control is.

How feral she can be.

I was ripped away from my dirty thoughts when panicked screams emerged from the tail-end car behind us. Jasmine's grip instinctively got tighter as I felt her heart rate accelerate.

"You don't think it's-"

"If it is then we need to get off the train before people get hurt." Jasmine cut me off.

The door separating the two cars slid open and caused all the passengers in our section to panic. People were pushing and shoving each other out of the way as they tried to move further up the train. I couldn't see who the figure was that was causing all the commotion underneath the sea of people.

"Keep your head down and stick with the crowd." Jasmine tried to run toward the commotion.

"Where the fuck do you think you're going?" I kept my grip on her.
