I wanted to see her, but I would've to make a million excuses not to see her and that wouldn't be fair and it wasn't a pleasant idea. I could've just said I'm working and come only in the morning, but the media are now following our every step because we're recording Kingdom right now.
I can't see her and I can't say it's me, it's just too risky. I hope that when I'm done shooting, she'll take me back.

It was mid-day, already Tuesday and Changbin still hasn't written me a single message. I was trying not to overthink, maybe he was just recording or having practice and he'll come to the shop without warning as he does.

But he didn't.

It was 4:10 when I locked the shop and headed home through a crowded street with hundreds of people in a city of millions, only to think about one of them. The one that just yesterday kissed me like I had 5 minutes left to live.

Still nothing. I sighed when I locked my phone and put it on my nightstand table, ready to sleep, waiting for another day without him.

I wanted to text him but I didn't want to be too demanding or too annoying, but maybe I should care, we kissed. And it felt too good to not care about him.

When I picked up my phone and texted him.

hey, how are you?

Nothing.
It was 4:12 when I locked the door of the shop and headed home. Calling him maybe sounded like a better idea. What if something happens to him?

Thursday.
It's getting kinda ridiculous. What if I said something wrong? Or the kiss wasn't good? Ah.

I was trying to be positive, like okay maybe he's looking for someone else, we've been only out for a couple of dates and one kiss, I could get over it. But it was hard.

It was evening already and I wanted to stop my mind, so I lay on the couch and turned on the TV. I was switching through different programs, reading descriptions for different movies and shows trying to find something not too boring. I wasn't really interested in anything till I stopped on a Mnet and read the description.

Kingdom: Legendary Kpop is a power-packed program where the male idol groups compete against each other to win first place, as well as to entertain the audience.

Changbin told me about that, that it's great music and rappers there are great too, so I let it on that. They all had something different and something interesting. They were really funny too and the first performance was about start.

How is possible I never knew about them?

Boys were standing in the middle, and the light fell onto them, changing to orange, it was already too intense and the music didn't even start. The camera was suddenly on a skinny boy with long dark hair. After a few seconds 7 other boys appeared on the stage behind him. They were all looking elegant in black outfits, getting a pleasant reaction from their opponents.

Then the boy with a deep voice started singing and my heart stopped and I felt the cold feeling going through my body hitting the place in my stomach.

He looked exactly like Felix only with black hair. Even the haircut was the same. He moved through the stage and then...

There was him.

I couldn't even stop it to look closely.

Sooner than I tried to collect my thoughts and tell myself that's not them, another boy appeared on the main camera with a knife in his hand. Doing backflip. It was Lee Know.

All of them came together, dancing in the middle, Hyunjin putting a knife in his mouth, doing the absolute maximum.

I was watching with an open mouth.
How?

I wasn't believing my own eyes, I wasn't believing that's them.

Until I heard a familiar sound, the same part of the song Changbin played me, his recording, it was there.
On national television.
He was rapping it with a flare in his hand. In the black outfit with an undercut.
And I was melting to see him like that. In control of the whole stage in front of him.

The performance ended shortly after that, and then they were sitting on tall chairs being interviewed a little bit.

It was them, the boys I was playing card games with just a few nights ago.

It was him, the boy I kissed in the dark just a few nights ago.

Then they were sitting in the audience and the camera changed. It was only on him. He looked like a greek god.

They all looked great, so talented at basically everything from their voices, and dance moves to just their presence on stage or acting.

And suddenly everything makes sense.
Lying about family photo shooting, not wanting to play me his songs, dance practice and stuttering when talking about Hyunjin.

I was too curious so I googled.

And I wasn't surprised about what I saw. Many pictures in expensive suits, sweaters, costumes, and shirts decorated with many necklaces or earrings.

And that one set of pictures was new, of course, he was there.

So no family photo shooting, he was on a fucking red carpet.

I wasn't mad at him, I just now realized why he wasn't texting me, he was preparing for that performance and as I already know, there's gonna be more performances for another month.

I wasn't blaming him for lying, I would lie too. But now we'll see who's better at teasing. He's not gonna know I know about this and see how nervous he can get. The same nervous as I am when he's talking to me just inches from my lips.
