-Noah-
8 years ago. Brooklyn, New York."Noah come on the game's starting!" My friend called out for me at a party. Red cups were placed in 2 lines across the table. I got in front of the last cup and waited. Every person before me drank their cups and tried to flip it to move on to the next person. It finally was my turn. I drank my cup and felt the acid of vodka roll down my throat. I flipped the cup, making it land perfectly.
Everyone behind me cheered as we won the game. I felt a large arm wrap around my shoulder, seeing my best friend, Santiago.
"Seniors!" Some random guy cheered. We all raised our drinks and chanted. This was our final year. Our final year till we all separate and go on with our lives.
My final year as a normal student.
My final year of training to take my fathers spot.Santiago pulled me away from the crowd and towards the kitchen of the mansion. "So, I heard Becca wanted to ask you something tonight." Becca. The sound of her name made me want to choke on my drink till I pass out. "I know what she wants." "Just go for it man. You know she's never going to give up till she gets what she wants." Yeah sadly.
Becca and her friend Vanessa walked up to us. "Santiago." Vanessa rolled his name off her tongue as she touched his shoulder. I wanted to gag at the sight.
I felt a slimy hand touch my back. "Noah, it's so good to see you." Her fake voice rang in my ears. Becca's light blonde hair stuck to my back as she placed her chin on my shoulder. "I've been meaning to ask you-." I cut her off. "Not happening Becca." I said as I took a sip of my beer.
She didn't take the hint. Instead, she pulled the sleeve of my shirt and dragged me towards the bathroom. I was so tired of her ways that I didn't bother fighting back.
She locked the door behind us. "Noah don't be like that. We can have fun, just fun if you want." She ran her hands down my chest, unbuttoning every button down on my shirt.
I don't want fun. I was chaos. I want someone who will make my life exciting. But it can't hurt this time, right? It's just a one time stand.
I placed my beer on the sink. I grabbed Becca by her neck and pulled her close. Her lips danced against mine as she pushed herself into my body. I snaked my hand into her hair and pulled her blonde roots.
I was saved by the bell. My phone rang in my pocket. "Ignore it." She said as she kissed my neck. I pulled it out to see Santiago's contact. Knowing him, he wouldn't call me if we're in the same building if it wasn't serious.
"What's up?" I answered. "I need a favor. My sister got stood up on her stupid date and she's out alone. Could you either pick her up or take me to pick her up. You were my ride so I don't have my car." I pushed Becca off me and started buttoning up my shirt. "Yeah I'll get her just send me the address where she is."
I walked out of the bathroom to my car. "Where are we going?" Becca asked. "I'm going to pick up someone for a friend, you're staying here." I said, not bothering to look back. "But I want to go with you." She said as I heard her heels rush towards me.
I've finally had enough. I turned around to face her. "Look, me and you are nothing Becca. We won't ever be anything so I suggest you go dig your nails in someone else's back because it won't be me. Get that through you fucking head!" I said, slamming the front door in her face as I left.
I drove to the address Santiago gave me. I parked my car in front of a restaurant but no one was waiting outside.
My eyes went to a bar next to the restaurant, seeing a girl with dark brown hair with her head low, sitting alone by the window. I turned my car off and walked into the bar. She sat alone with her hair and makeup done. She looked as if this date meant a lot to her.
