14 | Wrapped around her finger

I watched as Maya laughed with Sophie and Elena in the lake. The smile she had on as she splashed around made me feel good inside. Just watching her enjoying herself made me feel proud of her.

"When are you going to ask her?" Liam interrupted my thoughts. "Ask who?" "Maya. It's obviously how you both are with each other." Liam added. "I don't know. I don't want to make her feel rushed." I said, staring at Maya swimming around. "If she's anything like Sophie, you need to step up before it's too late." Liam said as he stood from his seat. "You learned that the hard way jackass." Jax said towards Liam. "Yes I did." He said.

Both Jax and Liam got into the lake with the girls. I watched as Liam carried Maya and threw her into the water again. I know Liam is my best friend and he's dating Sophie, but his hands on Maya still made me slightly angry.

Maya swam towards me and I watched her every move. "You coming in?" She asked me. "Maybe in a little bit." I said back to her. "Is everything okay?" I nodded to her. She lifted herself out of the lake and walked towards me. "Are you sure?" She asked, now standing in front of me. "Yes. I'm sure." I said.

She grabbed my chin and kissed me. I grab her hips and pull her towards me, making her sit on my lap. I deepen the kiss as my hands roam her back. "Fuck." She whispered against my lips. I kissed her again. I tried to move to her neck but she pushed me away. "Not here." She said. Maya got off my lap and walked back to the lake, leaving me alone again.

Everyone swam for the time we spent at the lake. I didn't get a single part of myself wet. On the drive home, I kept thinking about what Liam told me. I was unsure what I to do. I knew I wanted Maya, but I didn't know if she wanted me.

We got back to the mansion. "I'm going to get ready for the ball, you all should as well." I said towards everyone. I walked in and went to my bedroom.

As I went to close the door, someone held it open. Maya pushed past and closed the door behind her. "What the hell is your problem?" She asked. "What are you talking about?" "You're acting like somethings bothering you and taking it out of everyone." She said as she crossed her arms over her chest.

"I'm not upset Maya." Liar. "I don't believe you." She said. I walked up to Maya and tried to hug her but she went past me. "No. Don't try anything until you figure your shit out." She said. Maya walked to my bathroom and locked the door.

"Maya don't do this right now." I said against the door. I heard the shower turn on. I sat against the door waiting for her to finish her shower. When she finished, the door opened and I fell back. "Move." She said as she stepped over me.

"Maya stop this." I watched as she poured herself a glass of whiskey. My eyes traced her wearing white lingerie. "Are you going to tell me what's upsetting you?" She said leaning against my dresser. "Nothing's upsetting me." "I find that hard to believe." She said as she took a sip of her drink.

"Maya." I said her name in a low tone, one that I'm not used to. Her eyes went to me, also surprised with the way I said her name. "I want this. I want us." I said walking towards her. "Okay?" "But do you?" I asked as I stood in front of her. Her eyes scanned my face, making the anxious feeling inside me grow.

"Why do you think I don't?" She asked. "I don't know. I've never done this before." "Done what? Have a girlfriend?" She jokingly said. "If that's what you want to call it." "That's exactly what it's called." Her eyes went to her hands holding her glass of whiskey. "What if I say no?"

I placed my hands on dresser to trap her in. "I'll fuck you until I get the answer I want." I said as I stare down at her. She chuckled to herself. "I might say no just for that to happen." Her teasing me is entertaining but also infuriating.

She placed her glass behind her and wrapped her arms behind me neck. "I want us too." She smiled to herself and I kept my stare locked her on.

I lifted her onto my dresser and spread her legs to stand between them. I grab her throat and pull her close to kiss me. Her tongue pushes against my lips, and I give her access to my mouth. Her fingers dig into my hair as I groan into her mouth. She has me wrapped around her finger and she doesn't even know it.

I pull away before we do something we don't have time for. "You need to finish getting ready for the ball." I said as my fingers trailed down her curves. "I don't have anything to wear." She said.

"I left a dress on your bed." Maya jumped off my dresser and ran to her room. "You're a asshole!" She yelled out. "You don't like it?" I yelled back. "It's beautiful that's why you're a ass!" I was confused but her liking the dress was enough.

I put on a white suit to match Maya's dress. Fixing myself in my mirror, I heard a knock on my door. I turn to see Maya standing in the doorframe wearing the white dress I put on her bed.

"Does it look okay?" She asked me. "It looks amazing on you." I said. Her smile grew wide across her face. I eyed the white dress clinging to her body, making her look gorgeous. Her makeup matched her skin tone as her hair was straightened, which I've never seen before.

"You bitches ready!" Sophie called out downstairs. Maya laughed and ran downstairs. I fixed my suit one last time, grabbing my phone to check the time.

When I unlocked my phone, Lauren sent me multiple messages.
'Girlfriend? Who?'
'Answer me!'
'Is it that brunette girl I saw the other day?'
'Noah answer me I want answers!'

I scrolled up to see a message I don't remember sending. I check the time of the message, seeing it was sent when we were at the lake. I didn't have my phone on me at the time. I wondered to myself if Maya had sent that message.

I don't know whether to be pissed that she sent it without me knowing or impressed with the way she said she's my girlfriend.
Especially now that she is.
