Howdy, another Tech fic because I love him. Also, I'm probably not the first person that said it, but I totally called that no one could drive the ship unless they read like all the manuals and knew how to fix it, I totally said Tech would be the kinda guy to do that and I think it's pretty funny how it's kinda confirmed in the latest episode. Anyway, without further ado, the new fic. Enjoy!

You nudged your way through the great crowds of Coruscant, a cup of coffee in each hand, liquids sloshing around, barely protected by the flimsy plastic lid. You muttered quick apologies and quiet demands, squeezing through the bustling crowd just to get back to the Havoc.

You had stepped away for a brief break, after the boy's last mission, the ship had taken quite the beating, leaving only you and the resident genius, Tech, to fix it. You had been working on the exterior all morning, sweat brimming at your hairline and clamming up your palms. You had pulled away from the ship, searching the area for Tech to see if he too shared your current enthusiasm for a break.

When you did find him, legs splayed out from under some metallic trash, you almost tripped over him. Scrambling back to an awkward stance, Tech rolled out, helmet covering his face, most likely protecting it from the grease coating his body. He stared at you with what you could only imagine as a raised brow, slowly sitting up and using an old rag to clean his hands, "Done already?" he mused, although a hint of astoundment laced his voice.

"No," you chuckled, thumb rubbing the skin of your hand, "I was actually wondering if you wanted to take a break with me? I heard they sell a hell of a coffee in this cafe not too far from here." you proposed. Tech thought it over, eyes flicking back to the repairs he still needed to get through, although a coffee date with you did seem rather nice, but getting the ship off the ground was deemed more important.

"I'm afraid I'll have to decline, the ship needs significant work for it to even lift off of the ground. However, I wouldn't object to a coffee, if that's alright, of course?"

You shuffled around, wading from foot to foot, "Oh, erm, of course, I'll be, er, right back." you wobbled out, quickly turning away and cursing yourself for not being more forward. Tech shuffled back under the ship, shouting a lasting comment to you before you could completely disappear, "I already long for your return, my dear!" you rolled your eyes at his corniness, but that damn smile on your face grew in size at the notion.

So you had wandered down the narrow streets, searching for that coffee shop you had read on some billboard. Many patrons strolling past you, arms full of various fruits and rags, people from all life were here in this tiny market, getting along with their life just like you. A heavenly smell stopped you from going further, deciding to follow it, you were led to the very coffee shop you were hunting down. The line seemed short enough, only ten or so people waiting patiently for their drink, although you did note the tapping of heels against the ground and the miffed-off folded arms.

But you waited your turn like any other, standing in line like the good little soldier you were. Your thoughts moved from what coffee you'd get to the enhanced genius under the Havoc: what was he doing now? What was he thinking? Was he thinking of you?

Your cheeks bloomed at the thought, caught in a state of shame and embarrassment when recalling painful interactions with Tech. You had a schoolyard crush, a sweetheart, a clone that couldn't fall in love. Although, you had read once on Tech's holopad that some clones have found love, one going as far as to get married and raise a few kids. It surprised you for sure, assuming soldiers like that wouldn't be programmed for such emotion, but it did fill you will hope; a determination that you and Tech could work out.
