You gave a breathy sigh as the two figures continued to waltz down the street, arms quickly growing tired yet you refused to let up on the gesture; just happy to know they had finally gone. Once out of sight, you slammed the door shut, shaking miscellaneous objects around the house.

You and Tech turned to face the entirety of your shared house, backs facing the door and soon slumped against it. Tech's body heaved in and out with a deep sigh, it seemed as though he was contempt enough with the afternoon.

"I thought they'd never leave," you pointed out, breaking the soothing silence that had settled over you both in the short time since saying goodbye. Tech let out a little chuckle, you could see his shoulders shake in your peripheral, "It's like they were here for cycles." he chided.

You found your strength and pulled away from the door, tracking the short distance to the couch that seemed to call your name. The moment you had made contact the grimace on your face had disappeared, only now was a mild annoyance from your heeled shoes.

"Damn things," you muttered, "More like a death trap," it was why you wore flats when in space, lots of running and fighting. Leaning back, you allowed the plush material to absorb all your problems, felt your worries slip away from you as you melted into the couch.

From the corner of your eye, you caught the glossy sheen of the t.v remote, gently perched on top of the arm with precision. You stretched your hand out with little effort, moaning when your fingertips graced the tip of the plastic. Shuffling with a groan, you grasped the remote, barely inspected the buttons and clicked whatever seemed to work.

Tech would have never approved of the method, taking a much more methodical approach, but that's where you two differed as people. You had unintentionally started channel-hopping, for your first time here everything seemed to catch your eye but then bore you in mere moments.

You felt the couch dip beside you, not needing to take a glance to see who it was since you were already fairly certain; unless an intruder snuck in and decided to watch cable with you. His arm was strewn across the back of the couch, his fingertips brushing against the fabric of your shoulders ever so slightly.

"What are you doing?" he asked, a simple question some might say. You shrugged your shoulders, still too captivated by the device in front of you, "I don't know, I'm assuming it's similar to entertainment like what you'd find on the holonet."

"Hmmm, it seems this one is more...categorised, structured in a way for easy access." Tech seemed to settle more against the couch, snuggling his shoulders into the fabric, breathing slowing down into calming puffs of air.

"Well it's fun, that's for damn sure." You had finally settled on a programme, people completing an obstacle course, posing at the t.v like they were stars. Tech mumbled and grumbled about the state of the course, saying there was "No educational purpose to it" and that they "Don't seem to be using it as a form to train, to better their skills. Rather, they just pull silly expressions towards the camera and fall in disgusting water."

During the show's run, you had found yourself getting closer and closer to Tech and not in a friendship sort of way...no, you were physically getting closer and closer to Tech. He didn't seem to mind at first, after all, it was a small couch. But when you started leaning against him, it made his heart swoon but you would have never known that, instead all you saw was the way he stiffened at the contact.

But during the next hour or so he grew comfortable with it, enjoying the warmth that invaded his skin from your own. By the time a yawn rattled through your body, your head was against Tech's chest, his arm that was previously doting around on the back of the couch was fully embraced around your shoulders, fingers gently running along your exposed arm.

"Perhaps it's time for bed, cyar'ika ." Tech whispered, shaking you away with soft movements. You hummed in response, groggily getting up, fists digging into your eyes to wipe away the sleep, "Agreed." you murmured out.

You left Tech to deal with lock-up, you shuffled into the berthroom with your pyjamas held under your arm, another yawn falling from your lips. You nearly forgot to shut the door, soon remembering Earth doors didn't shut like the ones back on the Havock.

Tech had took silent steps up to the bedroom, rummaging around for his nightwear while you were occupied in the berthroom. With his bottoms on, he sat on the bed perplexed, rubbing his head trying to instigate a memory. He faintly heard a door open and your slight gasp, "Oh, sorry, I didn't know you were still getting ready."

Tech looked down at himself, indeed he was shirtless, but the blush that lingered on his cheeks didn't stop him from the puzzle he needed to solve.

"My apologies, but it seems I have misplaced my shirt." he stood from the bed, crouching on all fours to check under it; nothing.

"What does it look like?" he heard you say, voice wavering, you must have been moving around the room to help him search. Poking his head back from under the bed, he caught your form and smiled, "That," he pointed out. His finger was aimed at the shirt you were wearing, slightly crinkled from when you had grabbed it in a claw-like-grip.

You flushed with embarrassment, nearly taking it off before you realised there was nothing to cover what was underneath. Tech caught your worry, reminding you that it was fine and he could go without it, but that now only left one problem.

"So, erm, what do you wanna do?" your gaze was purely on the double bed, Tech knew he'd face this problem at some point, he just wanted to delay it further; after all, they had such a good day...strange but good. He turned back to you, you seemed the same, maybe a little more stressed and rosy.

"It is up to you, mesh'la. I'll do whatever you're comfortable with." ever so the gentleman, you swear you could kill this man with the amount of love you had for him. But now the ball was in your court: You could sleep with Tech in the bed or send him to the far reaches of the house.

"I-I-" you stuttered out, unsure. Yes, you wanted Tech with you but right now all you could think about was sleep and you knew how Tech slept, three years sharing a room with this guy was enough. Tech snored. He didn't like to admit it, but he most certainly did, never as bad as Wrecker but enough that it could keep you awake.

And while you loved Tech dearly, you wanted some sleep and looking at that bed, you knew you could sleep for a few days; it was a nice change from a slab.

"I see," Tech suddenly spoke, startling you out of your mixed thoughts. He seemed to have made his mind up while you were out, "I take it by your silence that you would prefer to have this bed for the night, though I have to say, I am slightly jealous of you."

"Jealous?"

"Only slightly," he emphasised, pinching his fingers together to demonstrate to you. You nodded your head with a smile, eyes cast to the ground, "Thank you," you whispered softly, but he picked it up.

"Besides, I wouldn't want to keep you awake with my nonexistent snores, hmm?" he huffed, gathering some stuff under his arms. You chuffed out a laugh, facing him now with a pout, "You do snore! Ask Hunter or-or Crosshair! They'll back me up!"

"Crosshair would agree to anything you said about me as long as it makes me annoyed."

With his nightly equipment in hand, he made the walk to the door, "Goodnight, (Y/N)." he leaned in close to you, his breath fanning across your cheeks. The next thing you knew, his lips had lightly pecked your skin, pulling away in under a second, "N-night," you swooned, watching with heart eyes as he left.

You gathered yourself together, the burning of your cheeks almost felt like a stinging sensation. Diving under the covers, you shuffled around until you were absolutely comfortable, blankets pulled up to your chin and went to sleep with dreams full of Tech and your life together, spent in harmony.
