"Why is... it... so... heavy!" Paimon exclaimed as she was trying to carry my scythe since she was so curious about it. "It weighs like a claymore!" She added in and finally dropped it with a clank and a sigh. "Paimon is already tired!"

"You haven't even run with it," I giggled, teasing her a bit.

"Oh no! Paimon's not flying into danger and dragging that! Paimon will let you have all the fun with it!" She exclaimed and huffed.

We were in Monstadt, the city of freedom, the city I have known since I was a child and thought this place was coming from my imagination....not. I crossed my arms as I watched Aether struggling on climbing the statue of Barbatos, trying to get all the way up to the top of his hands.

Speaking of Barbatos, where is that bard? I looked around for a bit and hummed to myself. "Say, Paimon, why does Aether go up there for? What does he do?" I asked.

"Oh! Aether said that up there is the most luckiest spot ever when he wishes for new companion!" Paimon replied, "but uh... I really don't know why he bothers going up there everytime... Paumon thinks that spot is a scam!"

"Barbatos' hands are a scam?" I chuckled and crossed my arms. "Wonder how he feels if he heard that."

"He would be quite offended," someone chimed in

"Of course," I replied before stopping and turning to look at a familiar bard. Speak of the devil himself... I slowly turn my head away to avoid eye contact. "Oh hey Paimon look, Aether's coming back down the statue," I said.

"Really? I'll go see him," Paimon replied and flies over to the statue, leaving me and Venti alone.

"So you're a new companion to the traveler huh?" Venti asked me as he tilts his head a bit. "It's nice to finally have the traveler having a companion! I'm Venti the Bard!"

"Oh please to meet-" I began before receiving a light pat on my arm by him and then him gripping onto my arm just a bit. "-you?"

"Stop. Dying." Venti added with a plastered eye smile.... That felt more like a threat.

"A-ahaha.... You picked up so fast.." I replied with a nervous laugh. Venti looked around for a moment making no one we know was around for the time being before whispers to me.

"I'm serious Y/n!" The bard pouted up at me. "You can't go around playing the hero and dying on us in the end! Can you at LEAST survive..."

"No promises," I blinked before Aether and Paimon decided to join us. Venti soon finally lets go and skipped over to Aether as if nothing happened at all.

"Fancy meeting you here again traveler!" Venti greeted, "So how was the view?"

It was....alright," Aether said scratching his head before letting out a small sigh.

"You don't seem too happy about something," I said as I walked over to him and blinked. "Did your wishing go wrong?"

"It's not that at all..." Aether mumbled with a small blush before scratching the back of his head. "I was trying to see if I could get you a constellation or two.... But I only got a bunch of weapons and well... Someone new to help us out." He said as someone glided down beside us.

I tilted my head in curiosity and blinked. "...a... Half human, half...deer??"

"I...yes and no," the girl said and crossed her arms, "have you ever heard the term or even the word Adepti?"

Adepti.... Adepti.... I snapped my fingers in realization. "Ah, I see, you're from.... Liyue...right?"

"I'm impress you know your Geology," the girl said with an eye smile. "Indeed I come from Liyue. My name is Yanfei, top legal expert in Liyue–and for the avoidance of doubt, no one else comes close!" She said introducing herself proudly, "From commercial litigation, to civil mediation, to criminal lawsuits, I'm fully versed in every area of the law, and I guarantee you a swift and satisfactory conclusion to your case! My contact details.... Where should I write this down...?" She mumbled to herself as she thinks for a moment.

Aether, Venti, and I looked at each other in silence before back to the girl in front of us.

"Hmmm, paper will just get lost, and it'll only rub off if I write it on the back of your hand, so... AHA!" She exclaimed as she took out a quilt from her bag, "I know, I'll just write it here, on the clothes of this.... Whatever this thing is that follows you around." She finished as she wrote down her info on Paimon's clothes.

"HEY!! PAIMON'S NOT A NOTEPAD!!" She yelled and whined at her now ruined clothing.

I giggled a bit at Paimon's silliness as the two boys beside me couldn't help but blush. Venti placed his hands on his hips and cleared his throat. "S-So! Travelers! Where to first?" He asked.

I looked over to him a bit. "Are you traveling with us, Venti?"

"Why of course! I've been traveling with Aether here since we saved Dvalin!" Venti said and then looked at me for a moment, noticing my confused look. "A-Ah... You must not have known what happened to Dvalin..." He said and looked down, scratching his head.

"Dvalin.... Did something bad happen to him while I was..." I began and stopped myself and cleared my throat. "While I was... Uh... Reading a book?"

"Huh? You were reading while we had a crisis of Dvalin in Monstadt?" Paimon asked as she was cleaning off the info written on her clothes.

...I'm so bad at reasoning...

"Well, whatever the case may be for you during the crisis, allow Paimon to fill you in–STOP WRITING ON ME!!! I'M. NOT. A. NOTEPAD!!" She yelled at Yanfei as she just gave a goofy grin.

Timeskip... Brought you by Childe breaking so many pinky promises

So.... Dvalin... How sad... But I'm glad the issue was resolved. I've known Dvalin for some time when Barbatos' first introduced me to Monstadt. He was such a curious dragon..

"And then- pow!! We won in the end and the elemental flow in Monstadt had returned!" Paimon said with a proud look. "After all that, we uh... We were out in the city helping as much as we can to recover the damages here caused by the storm."

"Oh? Was ending up in Falcon Coast and catching Treasure Hoarders part of it?" I asked.

"Uh huh! Kaeya needed help with it... Even though Paimon was STILL mad about there being no TREASURE TO BEGIN WITH!!"

"Woah, calm down, Jamal," I said to her, "don't pull out the 9."

There was only a moment of silent.. before me and Venti began laughing since weve done this meme in the past to confuse the other gods back then. Aether and Paimon were the only one confused about it.

"I... Paimon doesn't get what you just said or what it even meant..." She said, "but anyways, since we are almost done with helping Monstadt and going to be traveling soon on the road again, let's visit miss Lisa! She should have a traveler's hand guidebook in her library right? Let's go ask her!"
