Hey Aether, is it just Paimon, or is Y/n purposely slowly down the more we ascend up the mountain path?" Paimon said as Aether looked back to see me clearly slowing down on purpose. With each step I took, I can feel the presence of Moon Carver growing closer.

"N/n why are you slowing down? It's just Moon Carver," Venti called to me.

"Yea? You didn't get to spend the entire time being babysat by him years ago!" I shot back.

"Huh? Wait, Y/n knows the Adeptus?" Paimon asked blinking once.

"Uh..no?" Venti replied, clearly a bad liar to the bone that makes me want to smack him.

By the time we all reached the top where an altar stood, we looked around in silence. I can still feel he was around, perhaps he was in hiding... I should take this time to hide behind those large boulders... Or maybe those trees and-

"And who might we be? Those that dare enter Jueyun Karst?" A loud voice startled all four of us as we looked up before the altar in front of us.

Now there stood a tall animal Adeptus that I was all too familiar with.

We were sent here actually," Aether began as he looked through his pockets. "Huh..where did-"

"Please take a look at this." Venti said with an eye smile, as he holds up the paper.

"Ah, so that's where it went.." Aether mumbled with a deadpan expression.

"A Sigil of Permission..." The Adeptus said before looking at all of us individually. "Many a season has passed since one was last in the presence of such an item..." His gazed landed on me as I averted my gaze nervously, fiddling with my fingers. "You..." He began before sighing in such an aggressive way that it may sound like he wanted to strangle me... If he had hands of course. "He before you is the mighty and illuminated adeptus, Moon Carver. Speak, traveler and companions. What business have you here?"

"Actually-" Paimon began before our conversation was interrupted before approaching footsteps behind us that made all of us turn to look and see the Millelith, spears ready and pointed at us.

"It's the assassins! They dared to flee here to Jueyun Karst!" A Sergeant said.

"Sir, we've already stepped too far into Jueyun Karst ourselves..." One soldier said with worry and concern, apparently not seeing the Adeptus behind us. I crossed my arms and huffed a bit.

"We..." The sergeant began before grunting in frustration. "Argh, there's no choice. Apprehending the assassins are our top priority, we must press on!"

"Milleliths... Always so inefficient.." I muttered and took out my scythe ready to fight.

"Yeah! Beat their ass Y/n!" Paimon cheered before pausing, "wait did you just steal Master Diluc's line?!"

"Y/n? Hold you line human!" Moon Carver said as I flinched.

Paimon I love you, but why must you tell my name so loud for everyone to hear... You are officially dinner if we ever ran out of food.

"...disturbing our borders." Moon Carver began before standing beside me as I put my scythe away. "See them gone. One will not have interruption." He ordered Aether and Venti. "And you." He said to me, "come. We will have a long. Very long. Chat, you and I "human"."

I sighed as I scratched the back of my head and walked after Moon Carver.

Venti looked at Paimon with scowling look on his face for the first time while Paimon was oblivious to what just happened.

"...W-What? What's that stare for Tone-deaf bard?"

"Nothing, I'm just glad I'm not the babble mouth of the group." Venti inquired and took out his bow, ready to fight.

The Chasm

"Holy- The Chasm is huge!!" B/n shouted as his voice echoed around a bit. "Ha! It looks like an Asshole!"

"SHUSH! You're going to wake up Yao Yao with your yelling...!" Collei hissed and scowled at him. "Geez... Do you even have a brain under that brawns of yours?"

"Ehh? I don't see the problem of just having brawns." He replied as he blinks a bit. "Besides, I have enough brains to solve hard puzzles around here.

"but do you even know what weapon you use?" Cyno chimed in as he was looking through the map, glancing up to look at B/n.

B/n scratches his head a bit. "Uh....mm..." Was all he could say. Come to think of it... He doesn't even know what kind of vision he has and what weapon he can wield. "I.......actually don't know."

"You.... Don't know what kind of weapon you wield?? That's.... Interesting.." Cyno said as he hummed lightly in deep thought. "Perhaps a Polearm? Or a catalyst? You seem to be like a stringnguy who uses their fists instead of a weapon after all."

"Well I do know martial arts," B/n said with a grin.

"so... You're a catalyst user..?" Collei said in a questionable way.

"Am I sweetie?" B/n asked himself before shrugging and letting out a small sigh. "Anyways, this is the first time I've seen the Chasm... Last time I played the Chasm wasnt even available yet-"

Collei and Cyno gave him a questionable look as B/n continues to talk to himself. "Should we sent him back to Sumeru? I think he has a few screws loose..." Collei whispered to Cyno.

"I couldn't agree with you more, but even if we did, the Akademya would sure not let him go this time." Cyno replied, "who knew in just a span of a few days being here would have him attend the academy and graduated from one class already..."

"Wait what?! He's that smart?!" Collei whispered in shock.

"From what I heard, he found the course and studies....easy. But it could just be rumors." Cyno commented.

"Hey uh... What that big yellow barrier thing..?" B/n called over to them as he pointed at the very main entrance of the Chasm's depth. It had a massive seal that appeared to be impenetrable.

"That's the entrance to the underground mining facility." Cyno replied as he walked up beside him. "I heard there was some sort of accident that occured currently and they had to shut this place down."

"I see..." B/n began as he contemplated for a good few minutes. "......should we go down there?"

"Hey! The reason why we're here in the first place is to get Yao Yao back to Liyue!" Collei huffed as she marched up to him but not too close... Because all she'll probably see was his masculine chest.

"Oh right," B/n began as he pauses for a moment. "Speaking off... Where is Yao Yao?"

Silence. None of had realized that Yao Yao had gone missing after they entered the chasm.
