"So you're Y/n L/n I see.." Diluc said as his expression went back to a solemn and neutral look. I nodded my head to him.

"So what if I am?" I replied and looked up at him.

"I don't see it," He replied with a scoff and looked at Kaeya. "This girl is nothing like her."

I let out a small gasp, offended that the fact he really just said I'm nothing like me. Alright, fine then. "Hmph! Yanfei, Aether, Venti, let's go. We'll help you gather all the due books, Lisa, I don't want to be around rude people anyways."

"Who are you calling rude!" Diluc said as I stuck my tongue out.

"Why you of course Mr. I care for only business and not for life!" I replied, "and besides, miss Lisa says I'm beautiful so take that." I added, slinging my arm around Lisa's shoulder and leaning a bit to her as our cheeks nearly touch.

"My, it was only a compliment," Lisa said as she covered her face with embarrassment. Somehow, a spark of jealousy went around the boys. Yanfei watched in amusement in her eyes as she was observing the situation.

"Shucks," I giggled, "at this point, I don't see it as a compliment," I replied with a wink, making sure that her flirtatious comments backfire to her. to my satisfaction, it did.

After everyone had calm down, Kaeya and Diluc had gone off in a different direction while Aether and Venti went to help Lisa with her work...Although, Venti was distracted when we were talking to Donna and had gone off somewhere...That somewhere was the tavern obviously... Yanfei said she was going to look one more time into the laws of Monstadt....practically to memorize each section and verse...I don't want to be mean.. but each conversation we have with Donna almost includes Diluc in each sentence.............. Scratch that, her topic is about Diluc.

Even after we left I can literally hear her talking.

"Gosh, all I can think about is Diluc..~"

I want. to gag. I want. to choke someone... By this time, It was only me, Aether, Paimon, and Lisa. From what we got from Donna seems she had lost her book, which made Lisa very unhappy. "Well... If the book was really stolen, Donna has done nothing wrong." Lisa said to us once we were far enough from Donna. "The blame lies with the book thief...And their punishment will be three– No, ten times worse than stealing my book." She grumbled as she had daggers in her green emerald eyes.

"How do find the lost book though?" Aether asked.

"True, true," I nodded, "where I'm from, if a book is lost, we pay a fee for losing and or damaging the book, the same price when the book is bought. If not, more."

"Wow, your city sound more reasonable, yet strict on some ground rules," Paimon said.

"Well... As the saying goes, pay the consequences.." I shrugged.

"Indeed, and this book thief will be doing exactly that," Lisa replied as she adjusts her hat. "But enough that talk for a short moment. Unlike your city, C/n,  as long as I remain librarian, not a single book will go missing for good." She said, crossing her arms with a confident smile, "I put a unique elemental marker on each book. Our thief will have left a nice set of clues for us to follow."

I whistled a bit. "You're a very interesting librarian, Miss Lisa," I replied as she blushed a bit, hiding her face behind her hat.

"When did Lisa start taking her job so seriously!? Paimon always thought she was a total slacker." Paimon exclaimed and scratches her head a bit in confusion yet she seemed surprised at the same time.

"Hey sweetie," Lisa said as she clears her throat and regains her composure, "I've heard your elemental sensitivity is very strong... Why not see what you can do?" she asked Aether as she crossed her arms and smiled at him.

"Elemental sensitivity?" I asked with a confused look and scowling at them. This is the first time I've heard of that before.

"Oh! Paimon's got it!" Paimon replied. "Aether, use your elemental sight to look for clues! And Y/n, while Aether is doing that, I can explain to you what elemental sight is! Paimon is going to also be your travel guide!"

After a few minutes, we followed Aether as he had picked up a trail of magic essence on the stolen book. It seems that the book thief took it right out of the city walls... This is interesting.

Either way, the adventure so far is sticking close with the storyline... Perhaps since I'm here, am I suppose to change something...?

Nah, too lazy for now.

Somewhere...

The echo of heavy doors swinging open was the only sound that can be heard in the icy cold crystal-like throne room. "Your majesty~" The man that entered spoke as his voice carried off as an echo all around. He gave a deep courteous bow to a shadow figure seated on the throne in the center of the room. "The message has arrived." A metal-like bug buzzed in after the man as he held out his hand and letting the metal scrap land on his palm.

"Speak." The figure said tapping a slow rhythm on the armchair of the throne with her finger.

"Your predictions never fail to impress me," The man began as he grinned widely under his half-covered face. "It appears the same anomaly from three years ago had once again made its appearance, just like you said."

The figure stopped tapping and sat there in silence. ".... Seize this opportunity, Doctor." She ordered, "this time, don't let her escape."

The man, apparently a doctor, stood up once more. his ruby-red eyes gleaming with sinister intent... yet had hidden curiosity. "If I may ask her majesty, to what of this girl that seemed to have caught your interest so suddenly? Hm?"

"That is for you to investigate and for me to handle alone," The figure stood as the two guards, Fatui Vanguards, followed her lead as she stepped down the icy glass stairs. The doctor stepped aside as he bowed his head, watching the figure pass by. "But tread carefully on this one, Doctor. For this one, she can either be my success to create the perfect world... or my downfall to pits of never-ending abyss."

"Glory to her Majesty the Tsaritsa..." The doctor said as the figure leaves the throne room without another word. "Footsoldiers." He said as two agents appeared before him. "Keep a close eye on the girl. New toy, new experiment."
