"If you wanna find the Geo Archon, this is the only chance you'll get all year!" Paimon went on to say as the four of us walked up the stairs. I was already out of breath from descending down the hill... Now we have to do climbing again... "Guess it's a good thing Venti brought it up earlier, otherwise we definitely would've missed this year's Rite of Descension!"

"Well when it comes being a god, you lose track of the years that passes by, ehe~!" Venti replied with a childish grin.

"Well, that is to be expected since Venti isn't the sharpest tool in the shed," I chimed in, teasing Venti a bit as he did a dramatic gasp.

"How could you say such heartless cruel words, N/n~!" He whined.

Dottie just clung on my back in silence. He must have fallen asleep, poor little guy.... Although now that I think about it, he seems to resemble a certain..... I just shiver at the thought that Dottie could be... The son of that Doctor. Geez, which girl did he decide to knock up? The poor woman must be traumatized to have a husband as insane as that guy. Gives off the creepy stalker doctor vibe...

"So, do you know when it is, Paimon?" Aether asked we reached the top of the stairs.

"Uhh... Might be today.....might also be tomorrow..." She began as I gave her a deadpan expression. "Look, we're already in Liyue so let's go ask some of the locals!"

I took a look around for a moment and noticed it is quite lively in the city today... Or that could be perhaps just a part of city's everyday lives here. Takes me back to the good old days...

"Oh, right. About the Geo Archon, Morax." Paimon began as I perked up and looked back to her direction. "Did you know? The Mora that we use is named after this god! But it's seen as impolite for people from outside of Liyue to refer to the Geo Archon by that name......unless if you're a god of course." Paimon's and Aether's attention went to Venti who was already running around looking for wine to buy.

"Well they...probably know each other for a long time." I replied. "Besides, I heard Venti was once a powerful god before his decrease in power since he refused to accept the people's prayers and strength."

"Well... Gods choose to rule their nations however they want." I scoffed. "After all, the archon war left quite the scar in their hearts.."

"Huh...? How do you know about the archon-" Paimon began before Venti came running to us.

"Hey, sooo I found out that the Rite of Descension will happen up in Yujing Terrace!" Venti said as though he came to save the current conversation for another time. "We should hurry though, there are so many people going up there, it's going to be crowded by the time we get there. So let's go!"

Paimon and Aether looked at each other for a moment in silence before following Venti who had gone ahead of them already.

I followed last as I walked and carried a sleeping Dottie on my back. "Barbatos is such a character..." I said to myself with a light shake of my head.

Yujing Terrace

I took in the scenery of Liyue as I pass by the people. Some of the elderly looked at me innawe while the other of younger age greeted me. As I reached the bottom of the stairs I could feel Dottie shifting in his sleep before waking up and rubbing his eyes. "Good morning sleepyhead, you must have enjoyed that long nap of yours huh?" I said with a teasing tone as I can feel him tense up.
