CHAPTER FOUR

 

FEW WEEKS LATER

 

I parked my blue mini coupé in the parking lot next to Uriel’s ride. Uriel and Saraquel had just arrived as well. I turned off the engine, and grabbed my bag before getting out. Alec and Isaac don’t follow me to school, I didn’t need the attention. Uriel and Saraqael waited for me and we walked to the entrance together.

“Hi, morning, Katherine,” Uriel said over Saraquel’s side.

“Good morning, Uriel, Sara. I heard Brandon is having a party tomorrow night, I got a text from him.” Brandon Spike was their cousin.

“Yeah, I was actually going to find you today about it since my baby sister over here won’t give me your number.” Wow he wanted my number? Erghh fuck I can feel my cheeks burning up.

“What for?” I tried to sound as calm as possible. “I wanted to ask if you would like to go with me.”

Saraqael punched him on his shoulder, “Ouch, that hurts,” he faked hurt and rubbed his shoulders. “What do you say, Katherine? Want to come as my date?” FUCK YEAH!

“Umm, yeah sure I guess if it’s alright with Sara,” I turned to her and she nodded.

 “Wow, thanks sis!” He pulled Sara in for a hug. “Finally” Saraqael and I both turned to him with a confused expression. “Fuck, did I just say that out loud?!” I nodded and he started blushing which was kind of cute.

The bell rang and Saraqael started pulling me with her, running to our class before, Mr. Butchers got in. He is a very mean history teacher. She locks the door on anyone who comes in late no matter the excuse.

“Bye, Kate!” Uriel shouted over waving his hands and I waved back at him.

Finally it was lunch; I went to my locker to put some of my books in before meeting up with Saraquel in the cafeteria. I had my locker just a few spaces away from Uriel’s. I saw him by his locker with a few of his friends; he was too busy with his friends to acknowledge my existence. I don’t get why I like him, like come on! HOT SHE-WOLF PRINCESS HERE?!!

I opened by locker and a piece of paper fell, I picked it up and open it to see a picture of a rose colored in blue; my favorite color, I turn the back to see that there was something written on it, “I would have put in a real rose, it’s just I couldn’t slide it through the locker hole now, could I? You look beautiful today btw. –U”

I smiled as I read the paper and could feel my cheeks starting to cramp and it hurt. I put the paper back in my locker with my other books and I turned to look at Uriel once again; this time to my surprise he was staring at me with his blue eyes.

I felt myself blushing and tried to look away but it was hard, how could I feel like this toward someone that isn’t my mate, and god towards a human of all creatures!

 “Katherine” I break the stare with Uriel and turned to see Saraqael standing beside me, “Please, don’t have any sexual thoughts about my brother, gods please!”

“Oi, I wasn’t having any thoughts of that kind, come on now I’m hungry, let’s eat.” I grabbed Saraqael by the arm and dragged her and myself away from Uriel.

“Wow, says the girl that has been staring at a guy for like forever!” I rolled my eyes and kept quite.

Lunch went as normal I guess, we sat at our usual seat a few tables away from Uriel’s with a few friends, and I caught Uriel look my way a few times, just thinking about it made me blush. The bell rang as to announce the end of lunch time, I grab my rubbish and threw it in the bin before going back to my lockers to take my books out for the next subject, I didn’t see Uriel around, he must have had his books with him already or he had P.E next.

“The structure of a red blood cell and a while blood cell-”

 BING!! BING!! The bell rang and everybody closed their books and stood up to rush to the door. “Alright, we will continue this tomorrow.”

I was the end of close, I was really tired and when I get home, I had to train as usual and by eighteen my father would announce me as his personal warrior and that I would the same rank of a princess. Well I’ll still keep my rank above from the other warriors and alphas.

After everyone was out, I threw all my belongings in my bag, and walked out the door, I could never be late getting home or Alec and Isaac start to worry and they would then come and get me. I walked out the door to see Uriel leaning on the lockers opposite to the door I was standing in.

“Wow, I almost thought I waited outside the wrong class.” He said, walking towards me.

“You waited for what?” I didn’t get him; I wasn’t his girlfriend, why would he wait.

“For you. I wanted to walk you to your car and since we parked beside each other it would be on the way.” I smiled and nodded. We met up with Saraqael at the main entrance and then walked over to our cars.

Uriel unlocked his ride and Saraqeal got in, Uriel gave her the key to start up the car before walking me to my car door, “Umm, tomorrow, should I pick you up? Or do you want to meet there?” Wow he sounded nervous, he was nervous with me, cute isn’t he?

“Umm, I’ll just meet you there, unless you’re planning on meeting my father, he is very scary.” Uriel laughed and opened my door for me. I got in and he waved at me and I waved back he then got into his ride as well.

I couldn’t let him pick me up, my father would literally bite his head off, no matter if he is a human, and I was only allowed to be with my mate. My car roared to life and drove back home, not in rush. I was busy thinking about Uriel. By the time I reached home Isaac and Alec were just about to put their helmets on and go search for me.
