CHAPTER FIVE

School today was as usual. I didn’t see Uriel today, but I spotted his car and saw Saraquel during English and Math. I wondered if he was avoiding me or something, if he was then I wasn’t going to the party tonight.

I hadn’t asked my father about it yet, but like come on I’m a five hundred and sixteen year old she-wolf, I think I am old enough to go out without permission. But I’ll still have to ask my father anyway, I wouldn’t want him to send out the whole guard looking for me. I’d learnt that the hard way.

I parked my car at my usual place where Isaac and Alec would always wait for me; I got out of the car leaving my bag inside, “where is my father, Alec?” Isaac doesn’t talk much, so I’ve gotten used to asking Alec for everything.

“He is in the library as usual, thinking of a plan”

“A plan? For what? That old man needs to get a life!”

I walked to the library with Isaac and Alec by my side. I knocked on the door and waited for my father to answer before entering.

“Come in, darling,” I heard my father on the other side. I opened the door to see him with a few guards and the head warrior.

“What is going on father?”

My father nodded for everyone to clear the room. “Darling-” god this has to be about Kevin again! “Don’t you dare say this is about Kevin? Like I said he might be dead by now, it has been six years and if he was alive you will have me to take him out, with Alec and Isaac by my side of course.”

“Darling it’s just that I think if we try and figure his whereabouts and attack him before he attacks us we could save lives here. Would you rather he goes into another pack and kill?” I shook my head. I didn’t want to fight again; we had been there a lot of times.

 “I didn’t come here to argue with you father, I’m just her to ask for your permission. Brandon is having a party tonight and I was thinking maybe I could go?”

“And let me guess, that boy Uriel is it? Is he going to be there? Take Isaac and Alec with you, darling.” erghhh I am so fucked up, I could always compel them to get off my back, but I won’t, I’m not that evil. Just tell him the truth, “yes, Uriel will be there. As much as I want to hang out with my friends in peace, I rather go with Isaac and Alec then not going at all, now goodbye father I have to go get ready.”

As I walked out the door my father called me, “darling, it’s alright, I wanted to see if you were going to be honest and you were. You have my permission, you may go without Alec and Isaac, I might have a men’s night with them I guess.” I giggled at that and ran to tackle my father in a hug; its times like this that it gets hard to hold my strength. My father patted my back “darling, need oxygen here, not vampire” I let him go and ran straight for my room.

I stripped from my cloths and left them on the floor; I got into the bath and just let my thoughts drift away.
