CHAPTER SIXTEEN

ONE YEAR LATER

“Oh, daddy! Come on it’s just a movie, and it’s just us, you, me, Isaac and Alec.” I was pleading with my father to watch a movie with us, it was twilight and my father hated it because he thought that Bella Swan was stupid for choosing Edward, a vampire instead of Jacob a werewolf.

“No, I don’t want too, baby. You just go,” he rejected me for like the hundredth time in an hour, “but daddy, I’m going with Alec and Isaac won’t have a date and I was thinking you’d be his date.” This time I pulled the puppy dog face, “please daddy it’s the part two of breaking dawn, please, if not for me then for Isaac!”

He growled a little and nodded yes, to which I jumped and squealed and gave him a very tight hug, “thanks daddy!” I gave him a kiss, “be ready by seven.”

He nodded and I went to search for Alec and Isaac at the fields to tell them the news.

“So, daddy how did you like the movie?” I was hugging Alec’s arm for warmth. I was warm enough but just using it as a reason to hold him, I love him.

“That made you mother’s kind look, weak. Volturi pfft, got nothing on me;” and we all laughed.

“ATTACK! ATTACK!” a warrior said through the mind link and we four stared at each other. “Rogues! KEVIN!” the three boys that surrounded me had vanished in an instant, I wanted to fight but I didn’t have my hood to cover my face, I had to go home first.

“Yes, you’re going home and you’ll stay there and wait for me, Katherine” Alec said through mind link.

I’m not going through this again, I am going to take my hood and fight, after what happen last time I’m never letting Alec alone ever again, same goes for Isaac. I closed my eyes and bowed my head to cast a spell and when I open my eyes my face was already covered by my hood and I was standing in front of the pack’s house where the attack was happening.

“Katherine.” I heard a whisper of my name, not sure who it belonged too. I counted the scents that surrounded me and there were around ten different scents covering me and I knew there was no dead end and so I did what I had too, I shifted.

Once I was already in my wolf form I was bigger than the wolves in front of me, each one of them growled at me showing no fear, I stared at the one directly in front of me and I tilled my head and he followed, then I jumped at him and attacked, while in the process around two to three wolves were already biting on me. I took out two at once, my fur covered in blood, the wounds had already healed and so I kept fighting.

The fight was over and my father shifted in the middle back into human form, one of the women had given him a pair of shorts which he put on and I walked to his side still in wolf form, Alec and Isaac walked to my side.

“Shift” my father said in all his authority and every wolf shifted except for me, “where is Kevin?” my father asked but no one replied.

A man walk up to my father and bowed his head, “King, I am Alpha Kevin for this pack, thank you for coming, thank you to you too, princess.” I nodded my wolf head and a woman walked to the alpha’s side with clothes, “this is my Luna. She has brought clothes for you princess.” I shook my head before closing my eyes and bowing my head.

I cast a little spell, just as I shifted back into my human form all the leaves flew over to me covering my body with my clothes and my hood.

“Thanks, Alpha. Luna, but I’m fine,” I said sweetly before running to Alec putting my hand over his waist. “Are you alright?” I asked and he nodded before planting a kiss on my forehead.

“Alpha, where is Kevin? The leader of the rogues that attacked, has he been killed?” My father asked again and this time the Alpha replied, “I’m sorry but no my king, I heard that he has a scar on his right eye, this Kevin; and as I was holding off five rogues when I saw a wolf with a scar on his eye flee as you came”

“Damn it!” my father cursed and I went to him and put a hand over his shoulder.

“It’s alright father we will be ready next time, let’s go home and let the men rest and the pack too, they are tired and maybe tomorrow we could think on what to do, alright?”

My father nodded and shifted back to his wolf form and my men too shifted and ran with my father, Alec and Isaac shifted and was waiting for me to do the same. “Alec, can I ride on you, love?” he growled at first but then nodded and I went to lick his wolf before climbing on his back and we ran home.
