Chapter twenty-five

I got back to the house a bit late. I had stayed another three hours at the cliffs, thinking about Adaka, my father and the twins; who was I going to choose? I don’t want to be the reason my kind will crumble. I didn’t know where to sleep tonight, is it with Uriel or Zadkiel. I didn’t want to choose; I never liked to choose, so I went to the roof and stayed with Isaac. Alec was with his mate tonight.

“Hi beautiful, had a long day?” I nodded. “Come on, my shoulder’s free.”

I scooted over to him and laid my head on his shoulders. “Everything is going to be alright, princess,” he said softly,

“How do you know that, Isaac? I have something to tell you.”

“What is it princess?” he asked in concern.

“A witch named, Adaka is my mentor, she taught me magic and I met her a few hours ago at the cliffs.” I took a breath, “and she told me something.”

He nodded. “But first I have to tell you about Uriel and Zadkiel. When I am with Uriel, when he touches me and kisses me I feel sparks but when I am near Zadkiel, my wolf screams mate and Adaka told me something about the twins,” I hesitated but continued, “She said that they were both my mates, that Uriel carries the sparks and Zadkiel carries the knowledge.” I took another deep breath and continued, “She told me the one I choose will be the next king meaning that my father, it’s his time isn’t it?”

I took my head back from this shoulder to look at him, he looks like he knows something, “Isaac, please I need to know if this is the last century with him.”

He nodded and I gasped and started crying me pulled me in to hug me, and a growl sounded from behind, I turned to see Zadkiel.

“It’s time for bed, Katherine,” he said possessively as he carried me bridal style and away from Isaac, I didn’t fight with him. I put my arms over his shoulder as he took me to the end of the roof.

“Isaac, goodnight” I whispered and Zadkiel jumped and continued walking back to his room.

Weeks has passed, with still no rogue attacks, I had decided to go back to the mansion to be with my father. Uriel had taken me to the cliffs every afternoon and we would spend time together, Zadkiel would be with me every night.

I was packing my things for leaving, Alec and Isaac would follow me, Alec’s mate will be coming with us, I’ve already mind link three warriors to come and take our place. Zadkiel and Uriel are now with their father, doing something about the pack.

My men and I would be gone before they could come back. I finally finished packing and carried my bag out, meeting, Alec, Isaac and Katharina. We were going to ride in Katharina’s car since I can’t shimmer the whole way back with her and I didn’t want to shift.
