Harley's POV
I go into the house saying "hey, mom! I got a car!" Mom says "you did?!" I say "yeah, those boys that Scott plays with had this other team that looked like a bunch of stuck up rich kids. Then their leader was like, if we win I get a date with this guy, which was me and they made that the deal on both ends. That was yesterday I think then today I said, if the kids Scott plays with win, I get his car and he said deal." Mom says "was the other guy cute?" I say "no, he looked twelve, mom! It would've felt really weird doing anything but hang around him casually, never mind a date" and she says "you gonna hold up the bet with the other guy?" Scott says "please don't, that's weird" groaning and I say "it's not that weird, it's not like he's your age" rolling my eyes and Scott says "but he's my friend." I say "get over yourself" chuckling and he says "fine" groaning and going to his room and I go to change my shirt and put my leather jacket on and take my chain off my belt loops. I mess with my hair and I mumble "ok, good" and I leave my room saying "lets go, Scotty!" Scotty says "coming!" I say "I'll be outside" putting some gum in my mouth and I go and sit on the front steps and I hear yelling and running down the street. It's my brothers friends running down the street and they all stop and huddle around me and I say "yes?" Ham says "is he coming?" I say "yeah, he's being slow" loud enough so he hears it and Scott comes out, hits me on the head and we leave, Benny and I walking slower than the rest. He says "if we lost, would I still have gotten that date?" I say "depends how hard you would've worked for it" smirking and he rolls his eyes, trying not to smile and looks a lot more loosened up than he was. I bite my lip and he says "surprised you got that guys car" and I say "I know right? I'm gonna wash it tomorrow maybe" and he says "I'm gonna come watch you wash it" and I say "I'll do it shirtless just for you" and we chuckle, pushing each other's shoulders lightly. I say "you did really good today" quietly and I look at him and he says "you think so?" I say "yeah, it was really good" biting my lip and nodding and we go to this carnival thing, this was never my thing but it's everyone else's so why not give it another try, right? I bite my lip saying "those girls are looking at you" quietly and I smirk and he nods at them and they all giggle and push each other. I say "look at you, lady killer" and he says "like you're any better, over there, they're looking at you, love" hitting my shoulder ad I nod at them and they all giggle like the other girls did. We get to this carnival thing and I mumble "go get em, killer" and Benny pushes my shoulder gently and says "it's all on me" and the guys cheer and I chuckle, shaking my head. Before they get on their first ride Weeks pulls out chewing tobacco also known as the worst thing ever when it comes to nicotine. They all gladly take some and I say "good luck going on a ride with that shit guys" chuckling and they all look at me confused and I say "you've never done it before have you?" They all shake their heads saying "well, its not a smart idea to go on any carnival ride ever with it but I wish you luck and no, I'm not snitching, been there done that, not a fun time." They go on this ride and they're just so fucked after and I chuckle saying "told you" as they get off and Scott says "I'll kill you" and I chuckle then I buy them water and we all go home cause they didn't recover that much. Benny seems completely fine, the rest of them are just fucked and will be the next couple days. Scott goes into the house immediately and I say "how are you not dead like the rest of them?" Benny sits next to me saying "never put it in my mouth" chuckling and I say "smart" chuckling, shaking my head. I say "looks like your team will be out for tomorrow, what are you going to do?" He says "no clue, what are you going to do tomorrow?" I say "I don't know" and we chuckle and I say "I could pitch for you tomorrow if you think you could take it" smirking and we look at each other and he says "you think I couldn't?" I say "no, I think you could, I was just curious what you were going to say" biting my lip and he says "you're difficult." We chuckle and I say "I'm not difficult, I'm just not boring, like that garbage that gave me his car" and we laugh and he says "it's a nice car though." I say "it is, it has like no miles on it, he probably just stood next to it to look cool" and we chuckle and I say "want to put some miles on it?" He says "yeah, sure" smirking and we get in my car after I put the top down and he says "you have a license?" I say "yeah, you trust me?" He nods and I start to drive and we just drive around almost till midnight and he says "how are you really good at baseball but your brother isn't?" I say "he's always been book smart and was never really interested in doing anything like that until this summer and I was into baseball since I was ten." He says "then why don't you play with us? Wed love to have you" and I say "I have a few reasons, it's weird to flirt with your team, been there done that, you don't need your team distracted by me cause they already stare at me like I'm this Wendy chick they don't shut up about. Another one is, you already have your nine" and he says "whether you play or not, I like you being there" looking up at the sky.
