Around six o clock we get out of bed cause its about to be around the time for Isa to be home and she bursts through the door saying "dad, you were right, guys are assholes!" She goes up to Benny and hugs him, just sobbing her eyes out and he puts down his beer that he got out just a few minutes ago and he listens to her instead of telling her off for lying to me, which I don't mind. I'd rather my daughters feelings be dealt with than her being grounded for telling a lie about seeing a boyfriend. Benny used to do that all the time as a kid when he wanted to see me. He hugs her tighter saying "I'm right here, honey" rubbing her back and I smile, watching them as he slowly rubs her back and occasionally kisses her forehead as she cries her heart out. She says "what do you do when they just don't pay attention to your move?" Benny looks at me with the 'help me' look and I say "honey, most guys don't pick up on small moves, you gotta tell them 'this is my move, what's yours?' or you just gotta kiss them" and she says "but he was supposed to make the move" and Benny says "a moves a move, hun. Anyone can make one" shrugging and she says "what if he says no?" I say "then, in the nicest way possible, I'll tell you to get over it then I'll buy you ice cream or something" and she says "ok, do you think it's too late?" I say "there's always time to make a move" and Benny hands her a condom saying "use protection, if he says you don't need it, you do and if you're uncomfortable with anything, it's ok to say stop. If you find something you like, tell him don't stop, its a turn on. Then if he rejects you, buy yourself something nice" handing her fifty bucks and she says "thanks, ok, how do I look?" I say "girl, you gotta get ready to do this right, be casual but spice it up" and she says "'help me please" and we go to her room and I say "do you have skinny jeans?" She nods and pulls dark blue skinny jeans out, white converse and a tee shirt. I say "I said spice it up" and I pull out a black shirt with a deep V neck and a belt and I say "does everything underneath match?" She says "no, why?" I say "let me give you a tip, make sure it matches, it makes it hotter and look like you were doing it for them and try a push up bra, you don't have to do anything I say though, just suggestions" and she nods. I say "also, when you go out, if you offer you pay for both people, so if he doesn't pay for you, he's a dick, don't go for it" and she nods saying "ok, I got it, now go away" and she gets the tear stains off her face and I walk over to Benny, sipping his beer and I say "why did your tell our daughter that guys are assholes?" He says "at her age, you're kidding, right?" I say "true" kissing him tiredly and we go and sit in the living room and she goes to leave and she says "what do you think?" I say "wonderful" and there's a knock at the door and Benny says "I'll get it" and I follow him and he answers it to a teenage boy. Benny says "what's up, homeboy?" He nods saying "yeah, I'm here to see your daughter" raising an eyebrow and Benny also raises an eyebrow and I say "she'll be there in a second." I go to get her and she says "is he here?" I mumble "think he took a hint, this is your moment, he's a hottie" and she says "shut up, dad" and I say "what your grandmother said about your father when they first met" and she laughs, going to the door. She says "dad, move" and Benny says "you're mean" and she says "your ego is fragile" and I chuckle and he moves mumbling "maybe" and I laugh at him and we go to the living room, listening over their conversation. Benny mumbles "tell me what you hear, love" and I hear him say "I was dumb for not to have picked that up, I'm sorry I didn't do anything but I like you, maybe we could go out sometime?" She says "ok, we could go now unless you're busy?" I mumble "damn, that was smooth, almost as good as you" chuckling and Benny hits me upside the head saying "you're a dork" and I say "yeah, I know" pecking his lips. The kid says "uh sure, yeah, I don't what to do but whatever, right?" Isa says "yeah, I don't know either, I need new testosterone to hang out with" and they laugh and Elijah comes out of his room saying "hey, I'm going out" and I say "where?" He says "I'm going for a walk" shrugging and I say "ok" and he leaves and checks the guy out that Isa is talking to at the door as he walks by. Isa sees it and hits him over the head saying "get outta here" and he leaves, flipping her off and Isa says "I'm leaving" and Benny says "alright, tell that boy of yours if you aren't back alive, he's dead where he stands." She says "yes, dad, bye" and he nods at her and she nods back and they leave. I turn to Benny saying "we have the the house to ourselves, what do we wanna do?" He says "maybe I'll do you" and I chuckle saying "oh shut up" us laughing and we sit on the couch and he turns the TV on and we watch a movie, my head resting on his thighs and his hand in my hair.
