Harley's POV
Isa says "dad?" I say "yes, honey?" She says "how do you do it?" I say "what do you mean?" She says "work, deal with all the testosterone in the living room etcetera" and I chuckle saying "it's not that hard, we have a system down now, I know what's up with your dad, I know what's up with you guys and once you get used to it, it's doesn't get easier but you get used to it really." She says "makes sense, do those guys even know about you and dad?" I say "I'm sure a couple of the guys that have been there longer probably have ideas but the new ones, probably no clue." She says "why hasn't he said anything to them?" I say "it's nerve wracking to do that kind of stuff, hun, his whole career would be most likely gone if it got back to management and they weren't a fan of it." She says "I understand" and I say "with that kind of stuff you can't just flaunt it when its not a widely accepted thing, hun." She says "makes sense, why would you want to? Not that you're insecure about it but it's like flaunting an insecurity or an unpopular opinion you have." I say "yeah, it's like that and I'm not insecure when it comes to that and neither is your father but it's hard and very anxiety inducing." She says "can I get my nose pierced?" I say "would it be weird if we did it together?" She says "no, would you?!" I say "I've been wanting to for a couple years now, lets do it, go ask your father" and she says "yay!" We chuckle and I go into the living room and sit down next to Elijah saying "what's happening?" I sit criss cross and he does the same thing saying "apparently the guy up to bat is really good but I don't know" and I chuckle as all the guys glare at him. This guy hits a grounder right to first base and I say "man, this guy really does suck" and one of the guys say "you can't talk, you don't understand." I say "oh are you an edgy teenager now? I may be a bit rusty but I can hit better than that" and Benny says "he can, don't doubt him, I've done that before, it doesn't go down well." Elijah says "when did that happen before?" I whisper "about five years ago, he thought he could bench more than me, he was wrong" and we laugh and they keep watching the game that they missed because of practice. Isa walks by saying "I'm going to bed" and I say "night" and Benny nods at her and she nods back and goes to bed. Elijah rests his head on my shoulder, yawning and I smile, rubbing his back. I rest my head on his and Benny looks over at us and smiles, looking down and I bite my lip and he nods down, not a what's up, I love you nod, a I'm gonna do it nod. He pauses the game saying "I have to tell you guys something" and one of the guys that have been there as long as he has says "what's up?" Elijah mumbles "he's gonna do it" and I nod and Benny says "I know it's not gonna matter too much to you guys but I feel like you should know" and another one of the older guys say "spit it out" groaning. Benny says "I'm gay" and the same guy that said 'spit it out' says "damnit" and I say "hand it over, boy" and Benny says "what did you do?" I say "bet that you were gay, now I'm getting my fifty bucks, pay up, bitch!" As Chris pulls out his wallet and I laugh and Benny says "I don't think that's fair" and I say "it's not, I'm low like that" taking the two twenties and a ten from Chris. Benny says "now that it's out there, if you don't like it, get out of my castle" and none of them leave and I chuckle saying "you're so cool." Benny says "mmm, I know" and Chris says "are you together or not? I need fifty bucks back, man" and Benny says "you're the worst" and I groan saying "here" and handing Chris his fifty bucks back. I say "I feel like I can breathe again" and we chuckle and one of the newer guys say "how long?!" I say "too long, kid, too long" and Benny says "twelve years?" I nod, chuckling and I say "you really need to get with it if you forgot" and he says "I'm getting old" and I say "you're barely thirty, love" and one of the guys say "you're not even thirty?! You look great!" Benny says "what can I say? I'm a hottie" as he gets up to get a beer and I get up going over to him and I say "I'm proud of you" and he says "it's probably the alcohol" and I say "you aren't a lightweight, you're confident and I'm proud of you, love." He kisses me saying "mmm, does this mean I'm getting laid?" I chuckle saying "if you can get very single person out of this house then yeah" and he says "I'm too tired" and I mumble "lets compromise, I'll suck your dick once the kids are asleep" and he mumbles "I'll take you up on that offer." He pecks my lips saying "love you" and I say "love you" and we go back to the living room, going back to our spots on the couch. I smile as Elijah moves his head back to my shoulder, him boredly watching the rest of the game, nothing much happened the rest of it and I say "that game was boring" yawning and getting up and stretching. Benny says "definitely" nodding and Elijah gets up saying "I'm going to bed" quietly and I say "night" and Benny nods at him and he nods back. The guys leave and Benny sits next to me saying "I love you" and I say "I love you too" and he kisses me saying "mmm, I'm tired" and I say "lets go to bed then, love, I'm tired too" and we go to our room. I push him on the bed and I straddle his thighs saying "hi" and he says "hey, gorgeous" against my lips and I smile.
