Harley's POV
One of the women says "oh come on, when you're dressing like that there's someone" and I say "not really" and Bennys mom says "my boy, Benny and you are getting older, you both should have girlfriends by now." I say "ma'am, I think he's too obsessed with baseball to think about anything else" and all the women chuckle. I love that he's very not one track minded but one track minded at the same time. It's baseball and me, not to be cocky or anything and his friends maybe, if they're lucky. I bite my lip and my mom talks to Benny for a minute and he just nods, listening to what she says and I bite my lip. I say "hey" and Benny says "hey" biting his lip and my mom says "go do something guys, be back by eleven?" Bennys mom says "what are you gonna do, boys?" I nod at my mom and Benny says "were going to hang out, probably walk around" and she nods approvingly and we go outside and he looks me over saying "wow, you look gorgeous" biting his lip. I say "your mom thought I was going out to impress someone" and he says "you certainly have" grabbing my hand and I say "what's your plan, big boy?" He says "to be honest with you, I don't have a plan" and I say "whatever we do, I don't care what it is as long as it's with you" and he kisses me saying "wanna walk around till we think of something?" I say "sure" biting my lip and he says "they get together all the time, they drive you crazy?" I say "not yet" and we chuckle and I kiss him saying "they're pretty damn close though" and we chuckle and he just slowly kisses me under the streetlight. I say "I have an idea, it might sound strange but I want snacks." He says "shoot, love" kissing me and I say "we could go buy snacks and I want caprisuns and eat candy and snacks in my backyard?" He chuckles saying "I'm in" and I kind of sing the word "caprisuns" as I sassy walk in front of him and he chuckles and catches up to me. He wraps his arm around my waist as we walk and he says "you seem really set on caprisuns" and I say "yes, I am" kissing him. We walk for a little bit and he says "you seem tense, you alright, love?" He kisses my temple and I say "what's your mom like?" He says "she's not me" and I say "aw, love, I know" wrapping my arms around his neck and I kiss him and he says "she's nice to other people but she's very strict with me in just a weird way. She just wants me to live a very specific life that I don't want to live" and I say "aw, I'm sorry, love" kissing him and he says "it's ok, I'm gone in a couple years anyway." I kiss him softly saying "it'll be ok, you can always stay at my house" and he says "thank you, love" quietly wrapping his arms around my waist, pulling me closer to him. We go and buy a bunch of snacks and we lay on the grass in my backyard with the back deck light on. I lay my head on his stomach and he says "I swear, you're perfect" moving his hand over my jaw and gently moving my head to face him. I bite my lip, turning back to look up at the stars saying "no ones perfect, love, if anyone was perfect, it'd be you" and he says "you're perfect to me" him moving one of his arms to be behind his head. I blush saying "you're perfect to me too" and he keeps moving his hand over my jaw and plays with my hair every now and again. He says "look at us being risqué" and I say "mmm, I know" both of us slowly sitting up, me turning so were facing each other, our legs passing each other's hips, our faces inches away from each other. He says "parents just a few feet away from us" mutually thinking that now his dad and Bill and other men of the other women's houses have joined them. I mumble "and I'm kissing this sexy man in front of me" and I lean in to kiss him and he slowly kisses back and I say "you're really good at this, who'd you learn from?" Benny says "Wendy Peffercorn" and I pull away saying "really?" He nods saying "she's really nice and a really good kisser but don't tell Squints that" and I say "I will during my maid of honor speech at their wedding" and we laugh. He mumbles "maid of honor, yeah, ok" kissing me and I say "you're right, I don't want to basically plan a wedding." He mumbles "and I don't want to be hearing about it" and we chuckle lightheartedly even though these past few minutes secretly meant the world to us. I kiss him saying "you're so handsome" resting my hand on his cheek and he smiles, kissing me slowly. He has this boyish smile that I love so much, he smiles like a kid in a candy store, he smiles at the simple things in life and that makes me happy, that's probably one of my favorite things about him, it's undeniably cute. He says "you're gorgeous" and I push him onto the ground and we smile and I kiss him saying "you're just so hot like how have I made it through life without you?" He smiles and says "I don't know how I've done it without you either" and I say "you're amazing" kissing him and he says "you're wonderful" kissing me and resting his hand on the back of my head. I hear the door open but it's not an immediate reaction to pull apart cause why would it be anyone else but my mom, Bill or Scott? I pull away and mom says "what are you guys doing?" I raise an eyebrow and she nods slightly and I say "hanging out" and she rolls her eyes, smiling and she goes back inside to talk to everyone. Benny says "can we trade moms?" I say "your mom would put me on the streets and I'd just end up back here, love" and we chuckle him saying "at least we'd be together" against my lips.
